Giulio Capua

Chief Business Officer

Giulio Capua was named chief business officer of AD and Condé Nast Traveler in January 2017. In addition to overseeing revenue of the brand collection, Capua works directly with both clients, as well as colleagues on the industry team, to bring innovative solutions to market and grow the heritage of each brand.

Capua most recently served as publisher and chief revenue officer of AD, a position he held since February 2007. Under his leadership, the magazine experienced five consecutive years of sustained advertising page and revenue growth, developed highly profitable brand extensions and programs, was named to the 2012 Advertising Age “A-List,” and was awarded Hottest Home Magazine on Adweek’s “Hot List” in both 2015 and 2016.

Before joining AD, Capua served as vice president and publisher of Gourmet. During his tenure there, he led the magazine to a number of milestones, including the best ad-page performance in its 65-year history, and a place on Advertising Age’s “A-List” in 2006. Prior to his five-year tenure at Gourmet, Capua spent 12 years at GQ, advancing from sales representative to associate publisher.

Capua graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in finance and marketing.
