SmartBrain Games
SmartBrain Technologies, through an exclusive partnership with NASA, has developed patented technology products to help children and adults (ages 4-99) exercise their brains to pay attention better, learn more quickly and remember more efficiently. NASA, having developed technology to assist their pilots to learn to control their brainwaves at the desired level of automation in a simulator flight deck, transferred their technology to applications that can benefit children and adults. We are pleased to offer this technology in
By using a non-invasive interactive device, coupled with either Sony PlayStation or Microsoft Xbox video games, or any DVD movie, the individual may train their brain while playing a game or watching a movie. The technology engages the brain’s neuro-plasticity (its ability to change) through neurofeedback.
Some of the many benefits include:
- Improve ability to pay and sustain attention
- Speed up/increase your brain’s processing speed
- Decrease your impulsive responses
- Improve your memory and recall
- Increase your brain’s capacity to learn.
To begin the training, the individual’s brain wave patterns would be recorded in our office using QEEG non-invasive equipment. The results of this QEEG will be utilized to identify what part of the brain to “train” when the individual comes to the office once to several times per week. “Training” involves having several external “leads” attached to the scalp and ears, which transmits the individual’s brainwaves through the neurofeedback interactive system. The system dials up and down the power to the buttons of the game controller, governing how much control is available in game play, all based upon the trainee’s control of his/her brainwaves. As the brain improves, success in game play is the reward.
These changes also work with the DVD movie watching system. Brain signals pass through the computer receiver, changing the size of the movie screen and the volume. The more you pay attention and direct your brain’s energy, the more you see and hear.
Typically, 40 to 60 neurofeedback training sessions are needed to see a significant improvement in the above listed conditions/symptoms. Testing will be conducted to assess the level of improvement between pre- and post-training.
