1783 – 1795 Shaikh Ahmad al-Fateh bin Muhammad al-Khalifa, Al-Shoyoukh and Joint Chief of Bahrain and Al-Zubarrah, second son of Shaikh Muhammad bin Khalifa bin Muhammad al-Utubi, Al-Shoyoukh and Chief of Al-Zubarrah, in Qatar, by his second wife, a lady from the Binali clan, of Fureiha, Qatar. Appointed as actg Governor of Al-Zubarrah by his elder half-brother when he went on pilgrimage to Mecca in 1782. Attacked by Nasr al-Mathkur, he retaliated by invading Bahrain and forcing the surrender of Fort Jaboor, 23rd July 1783. He expelled the al-Madhkur and appointed his own representative there. Succeeded on the death of his brother as substantive Governor of Zubara, before 26th November 1783. He d. at Fort Dewan, Manama, Bahrain, before 18th July 1795 (bur. there), having had issue, four sons: Copyright© Christopher Buyers

1795 – 1825 Shaikh Salman bin Ahmad al-Khalifa, Al-Shoyoukh and Joint Chief of Bahrain and Al-Zubarrah, eldest son of Shaikh Ahmad al-Fateh bin Muhammad al-Khalifa, Al-Shoyoukh and Joint Chief of Bahrain and Al-Zubarrah. Succeeded on the death of his father as Joint Chief of Bahrain with his younger brother ‘Abdu’llah, before 18th July 1795. Driven out by the Sayyid of Muscat 1800-1801, reconquered Bahrain with Wahhabi aid 1801, detained in Dar’iya 1801-1810. He d. at Al-Rifa’ Fort, Bahrain, before 28th September 1821, having had issue, twelve sons:
