Biography

Having played one match as an amateur for Somerset in 1900 and another in 1905, the middle order batsman, Alfred Bowerman, was, together with [Montagu Toller], one of the only two players in the 1900 Olympic team who played cricket at county level. A member of the Castle Cary club, he was top scorer in the Olympic match with 59 runs in the second innings.
