Our bishops lead and oversee the Church in the Diocese of Bristol.

The See of Bristol is currently vacant. The diocesan Vacancy in See Committee is consulting across the Diocese to inform the Statement of Needs for the next Bishop of Bristol

Rt Revd Dr Lee Rayfield, the Bishop of Swindon, is the Acting Diocesan Bishop during the vacancy. He works across the Diocese alongside his community leadership role in Swindon.

The Venerable Christine Froude is the Archdeacon of Malmesbury and acting Archdeacon of Bristol. Christine is the Chair of the Pastoral Management Team and is a member of the Bishop's Staff.
