MDC declared “al-Jazeera Tempest” campaign

AL-SHADADY- Military Deir ez-Zor Council announced launching the campaign of “al-Jazeera Tempest” to liberate the remaining of the Syrian al-Jazeera(Cizîre) lands, east of Euphrates and the eastern areas from IS mercenaries.

Military Deir ez-Zor Council released a statement declaring the beginning of “al-Jazeera Tempest” campaign to liberate east of Euphrates and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor during a press conference held in Abu Fas village in al-Shadady district southern of al-Hasakah.

The press conference was attended by Syrian Democratic Forces, and Military Deir ez-Zor Council commanders, journalists and some regional and international media outlets.

The statement that was read by Ahmad Abu Khoula the DMC commander, Abu Khoula stated “we in the name of Military Deir ez-Zor Council we bring the good news of starting the campaign of “al-Jazeera Tempest” that aims at liberating what remained from the Syrian Cizîre lands and east of Euphrates from the terrorists’ abomination and purging what remained from Deir ez-Zor eastern countryside”.

It also stated “by the time that IS gangs’ defensive fronts are collapsed and the terrorist organization is coming to its end in al-Raqqa in addition to achieving heroic epics and redemption by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and liberating 70% of the city, IS gangs attempt to launch attacks on al-Shadady areas and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor in a desperate attempt to raise their forces’ morale in al-Raqqa”.

The commander stated in this context saying “we in Military Deir ez-Zor Council decided to start this critical campaign to support our people in Syrian Cizîre in general and the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor in particular”.

The commander called for the area’s people to join the ranks of their forces to defeat IS mercenaries saying “on this great occasion, we call for our people in the area to join the ranks of our forces in order to eliminate terrorism and rescue our people from oppression, we also call them to stay away from terrorists’ points for their safety”. The commander also assured that they would do the best to protect the civilians and take them to safe areas.

The commander Abu Khoula saluted SDF for their supporting and participating in this campaign. The commander also thanked, in the name of the council, the Global Coalition for providing the forces with support”.

The commander concluded the statement saying “our forces’ morale is high and they are ready to achieve victory”.
