Madball

7 p.m. Monday, August 8. Fubar, 3108 Locust Street.

Bashing brains by way of mosh since 1988, Madball remains at the forefront of the New York hardcore scene. Erupting out of the legendary Doc Marten Skinheads crew, the band has toured the world over, releasing ten albums and EPs along the way. Originating as a side project of Agnostic Front, the boys in Madball defined "tough-guy" hardcore, solidifying the NYHC sound. Madball's songs feature themes of unity, betrayal, crew mentality and loyalty to friends and family, underlying a brand of testosterone-filled crossover metal/hardcore with a penchant for violence. With over twenty years in the game, the band is still as vital as ever, kicking off its tour at Fubar in support of the recently released Empire. Uniting an even bigger legion of fans to wield the Ball of Destruction, the band promises to annihilate.
