Central Florida Punter Mac Loudermilk Earns Ray Guy Award Weekly Honor

Augusta, GA (November 13, 2017) – The Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Mac Loudermilk of the University of Central Florida as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week for Week 11 games. This is the final punter of the week for the 2017 season.

Loudermilk punted 4 times during the Saturday game against Connecticut for 205 yards. His gross and net averages were 51.25 yards. One of his punts was marked inside Connecticut’s 20-yard line and his long punt for the game was 69 yards. None of Loudermilk’s punts were returned during the game.

About the Ray Guy Award
The Augusta Sports Council created the Ray Guy Award in 2000 to honor Thomson, Georgia native and College and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Ray Guy. Among the statistics used to identify the winner is net punting average, number of times punt is downed or kicked out of bounds inside the opponents 20-yard line, total yardage punted, average returned yardage and percentage of punts not returned with particular emphasis placed on net punting average. The winner must display team leadership, self-discipline and have a positive impact on the team’s success.
