Orgasm Addicts

Women are masturbating like crazy for some time now, a good decade I would say, and maybe even longer. I’d call it a fad, but I’m afraid it’s more accurate to say it’s here to stay. Generally they are almost all capable of orgasm, and they usually reach orgasm when they masturbate.

I knew one wife in a sexless marriage where it was the husband who was not having sex (mostly for physical reasons) who rediscovered the joys of masturbation. She was in her 40’s and she was in a sexless marriage. She told me she was doing it 7-10 X/week. That’s about in line with most single women I have known.

If there’s no man around, most single women nowadays aged 27-50 are masturbating just about every day. Some maniacs are even doing it 3-4 X/day. I have had female friends in their 20’s who sometimes did it off and on all day if they have the day off or all night if they don’t have to get up in the morning. I knew a woman who had a driving job, and she used to go to abandoned parking lots between calls and rub herself off in her car in broad daylight. I would be texting one of my woman friends, and she would say, “Excuse me, I have to go masturbate. Be back in a bit.” I would chuckle, and then 30 minutes later I would get another text, “Damn that felt good!”

A lot of them stop or slow way down after menopause when the female sex drive often goes belly up but I had a date with a 58 year old woman recently who told me she masturbated pretty much whenever she felt like it.

Even teenage girls are doing this. I had an 18 year old girlfriend several years ago who told me when I met her that she did it every day.

How do I know all of these gruesome details? Women told me!

And then of course there was my infamous survey of young teenage girls posting on teenage girl chatrooms about their masturbation habits. I do a lot of research on sexology, mostly around sexual orientation. I think there is me and a gay clinical psychologist (who I have tremendous respect for, as he is actually doing good science), and we are the only people in the country actually studying this issue. The question about the causes of sexual orientation has been taken over by science-allergic Gay Lobby and Cultural Left types who are are mostly obfuscating the issue, lying like mad, and flooding it with gay propaganda like they always do.

I was looking at teenage girls’ bulletin boards to try to get some data on the onset of some puberty milestones and menarche these days, as there are a lot of reports that the age of puberty is going down. I also wanted to find the age at which the female sex drive came on, as there is almost no data about this, shamefully. I was reading through their responses and tallying them up. It happened that on a lot of these boards, the girls were discussing masturbation, so I thought, the Hell with it, might as well tally this up too. I read through their responses and tallied them up just like the other figures I was researching.

The figures really shocked me. ~70% of girls aged 13-15 reported that they were masturbating to orgasm every day or almost every day.

Even more stunning was that ~7% of 13-15 year old girls were masturbating with their own sisters! What!? They were either each doing it on their own next to each other or they were actually having sex with each other to get each other off. Apparently none of them were lesbians. I had no idea there was this much incest between sisters. Parents have no idea what their kids get up to.

Once females figure out how to have that orgasm, a lot of them are addicts.

When I meet a single woman now as part of dating or pre-dating, I usually don’t even bother to ask if she masturbates because I figure they all do.

I also have to ask questions about masturbation sometimes with my female counseling clients (and of my male counseling clients too for that matter), particularly when we are dealing with sexual themes. I would love to not have to ask questions about this, but when they come to me with sexual themes that they are going through, it’s a necessary part of the process, and a large part of my practice involves people dealing with sexual stuff. Almost all (90%) of my female counseling clients masturbate, even the married women. I must add that a few don’t though. Even women from very conservative cultures such as Pakistani Muslim women say they do it.

I remember when I was growing up, girls and women never discussed this subject. Either they weren’t doing it, or they were doing it and not talking about it. There was this idea that it was a shameful subject. It was not uncommon to have a girlfriend who said she didn’t do it. I can’t remember one girl or woman that I dated who told me that they masturbated.

I also remember a lot of discussions about women who could not reach orgasm during sex, and I had girlfriends who never got off or even more frequently, were not sure if they reached orgasm, whatever the Hell that means. Surveys routinely found that 25-30% of women were anorgasmic, that is apparently they had never had an orgasm in their lives. Nobody talks about women who can’t reach orgasm anymore. They’re all masturbating like forest shrews on speed, and once they figure out how to get that orgasm, they can usually give themselves one anytime they feel like it.

It’s like something has changed. There are theories of early sexualization that state that teenage girls nowadays are undergoing early and profound sexualization due to a variety of things, but the availability of Internet porn seemed to be the main factor. There was a documentary about this a few years ago. I forget the name of it. The lead character is a 12-year-old girl, and in my opinion, she is far too sexualized for her age. It’s quite shocking.

There are also reports that girls who get molested when they are little girls experienced an increased sex drive, sometimes said to be up to 3-5X higher, when their sex drive comes on at puberty. It’s as if the early molestation “primes” them for the real thing.

Good God, we are raising whole generations of female masturbation addicts!

Do People with OCD Enjoy Thinking about Their Obsessions, or Is It Always an Involuntary/Unpleasant Experience?

Answered on Quora:

Do people with OCD enjoy thinking about their obsessions, or is it always an involuntary/unpleasant experience?

Actually enjoying your obsessions (or repetitive thoughts) is a rule-out for OCD. If you enjoy your repetitive thoughts, OCD is literally ruled out. I sometimes come across people who enjoy their repetitive thoughts and think they had OCD. I told them that they did not.

Most common differential diagnoses were Prodromal Psychopathy (person is developing psychopathy but does not yet have it), Pedophilia, GAD and Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. Also things like Homosexuality which are not even illnesses. None of them are common. The only one I have seen more than once was Pedophilia.

But by and large, people who come to me suspecting they have OCD are correct almost all (98%) of the time. Clinicians despise self-diagnosis and say it has no credibility, but with OCD at least, many persons are quite certain that they have it, and they are correct in their self-diagnosis.

Usually what happens is they get symptoms and cannot figure out what is wrong with them, so they start doing research. They come across articles that describe OCD in great detail or are case histories of OCD’ers. They read that, and something instantly clicks. They say, “That’s me exactly! The person who wrote that could have been crawling around in my brain reading my thoughts.”

Pure O OCD symptoms are remarkably similar. I also like to say I can spot Pure O OCD symptoms half a mile away, blindfolded, at night. That’s not true, but you get the picture. It’s like they are all “reading off the same script.”

The symptoms are so clockwork-like that it has led me to think there is something wrong with a person’s brain who has OCD. The symptoms are classic, almost all of them display the same core symptoms and you can go down a checklist to figure out who has it, or just recognize it by sheer intuition. In that sense it is very much like how physician diagnoses a physical illness he is familiar with quite quickly via sheer intuition. In that sense, OCD resembles a typical physical illness very much.

Cultural Left Lies about Homosexuality

We do not choose our sexual orientation. This is actually the official pronouncement of the American Psychological Association, and there is no basis whatsoever for making that statement, although for men there seems to be something to it. Plenty of women have obviously chosen lesbianism and then chosen to be straight again.

Sexual orientation is inborn. Then why do these lesbians date men for years and decades before they finally “wake up” and realize that they are lesbians? If they are born that way,  what happened? Did their true nature go into hiding until they were 40?

Male homosexuality is inborn or genetic. It is almost certainly not genetic, but it may be a developmental disorder, so in that sense, it may be inborn. And while it is fixed in adolescence or even before, we still do not know if or how childhood factors play a role in male sexual orientation. In other words, it’s not proven that prepubertal boys already have a preset sexual orientation.

Gay men are no more likely to molest children than straight men. On the contrary, they are 12X more likely to molest children than straight men, and we are talking little kids here, under 13, not teenagers.

10% of all people are gay. This is called the “10% lie.” It’s been disproven so many times that we should hardly bother to disprove it anymore, except that we have to because the gays keep lying about it.

The rate of homosexuality is not increasing. False. The background rate may be ~3%, but among the youngest generation in the UK, 6% of all men are gay. The same study showed that only 45% of men said they were completely heterosexual. Previous studies put it at 60-65%. Clearly the rate is increasing. This also calls into question the “born that way” theory.

The rate of homosexuality is the same all over the world. False. In Ancient Greece and Rome, rates approached 95% of men. Among certain groups in Afghanistan, the rates are extremely high. There are also societies where it seems to barely exist at all. Sexual orientation may not be up for grabs so much, but at least men can engage in homosexual behavior at vastly different rates.

Gays do not recruit or convert. False. Gay men continuously try to seduce straight men, with young, very handsome straight men being hit the hardest of all. It’s dubious whether straight men can actually be converted to a homosexual or even bisexual orientation, but they can definitely be converted to bisexual behavior.

The Gay Lobby does not have a subversive agenda. False. The Gay Lobby has long stated that one of its most important goals is to abolish gender, as they put it. That’s subversive in my book.

Everyone is at risk of HIV. Hardly. The vast majority of Americans either have zero to extremely low HIV risk. The HIV rate among lesbians is close to zero.

HIV does not discriminate. Like Hell it doesn’t. Gay men are 1.5% of the population and 70% of HIV cases. Sounds like a discriminatory disease to me.

Sexual practices play no role in HIV. Like Hell they don’t. The crude equation of HIV is this: Humans who get fucked in the ass fuck other humans in the ass (with their penises). Sure, a woman can practice receptive anal sex and get HIV, but there is almost no way to give it to anyone else as she lacks a penis full of semen to transmit it. Hence, as the New York Department of Health noted in the 1980’s, HIV goes from men to women and then it stops.

Gay men are no more likely to have sex with young teenagers than straight men are. False. 25% of all gay men over the age of 25 have had sex with a boy age 13-15 when they were over age 25. Only 6% of all straight men over the age of 25 have had sex with a girl aged 13-15 when they were over 25.

The only difference between gay and straight men is the PIV sex. Hardly. There are extreme differences between gay and straight men even outside the bedroom.

Effeminacy and masculinity have no relationship to sexual orientation. In fact, gay men are much more likely to be effeminate, and masculinity is deeply rooted in male heterosexuality. Perhaps ~70-75% of gay men are effeminate, and perhaps ~1-3% of straight men are effeminate. I have only see two truly masculine gay men in my life, both on Youtube videos. The rate of seriously masculine gay men must be vanishingly small.

Gay men are just as mentally healthy as straight men. Studies consistently show that gay men have higher rates of depression and anxiety disorders than straight men.

Increased psychological problems among gays are due to societal discrimination. Recent data out of Denmark and Sweden, as gay friendly as anywhere, show that the rate of psychological problems remain elevated even in perfect conditions. No one knows why psychological problems seem to be part of the package that male homosexuality comes wrapped up in.

Gay teens have an elevated suicide rate. Not true. They have a higher rate of suicide attempts, but the rate itself is not elevated.

Gays have a high suicide rate. Not so for gay men or lesbians.

Children raised by gays are just as psychologically healthy as children raised by a man and a woman. False. They have more problems and are about as psychologically healthy as kids raised by single Moms. The best environment for children is a man and a woman.

Children raised by gays are no more likely to be gay than anyone else. The latest studies show that ~12% of children raised by gays are gay themselves, which is vastly higher than the background rate. This calls into extreme question notions about sexual orientation as inborn.

Gays live just as long as straights. Nope. Their life expectancy is shortened by a full 20 years.

The shortened gay lifespan is due to discrimination. False. Gay men like 20 years less in Sweden and Denmark too, the most gay friendly countries on Earth.

Lesbians live just as long as straight women. False. Lesbians live a full 20 years less than straight women.

Gay men are not more promiscuous than straight men. False. A huge percentage of gay men have had 100+ sexual partners. Only 6% of straight men have.

HIV is not a gay disease – straight men can get it too. False. It is nearly impossible to get HIV from PIV insertive sex.

Reparative therapy does not work. False. It does not work for gay men. However, surrogate sex therapy for lesbians has been shown to work. Lesbians who were incapable of sex with men can become capable via surrogate sex therapy.

Gay men are no more likely to be serial killers. False. Gay men are 12X more likely to be serial killers than straight men.

Would a Psychopath Purposefully Hurt/Be Cruel to Someone Else (for Fun), Even If They Hadn’t Done Anything to Him/Her?

Answered on Quora:

It is not true that anyone can act this way. Most non-psychopaths will not behave this way. Most narcissists will. Many borderlines will. Histrionics might. Manics definitely will. This is Cluster B behavior.

When normals are cruel, which they often are, there is typically a reason for it. They think it is a good reason, but often it isn’t. I can’t imagine a neurotypical hurting someone out of boredom. That’s ridiculous.

Psychopaths and sociopaths along with narcissists are known for their cruelty. Borderlines can be exceptionally cruel, but they are doing it because they are crazy rather than because they are evil. Narcissists and sociopaths/psychopaths are getting a lot more towards true evil.

I had one psychopathic client in my counseling practice. This young man desperately needed an intervention so he didn’t kill someone for the sheer fun and thrill of it. This man told me that sometimes when he was bored, he acted cruel and mean to people just to have something to do. He acted like this was somehow perfectly justifiable and that there was nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Understand that sociopaths/psychopaths are often bored. One way to get out of boredom is to be cruel to someone. This will create a lot of tension and drama in the air and will tend to cause a scene. To this type of person, an ugly scene is better than being bored.

All Thoughts Are Legal: There Is No Such Crime as “Dangerousness”

LE get false confessions all the time. There have been ~500 false confessions to the Black Dahlia Murder.

There have been ~300 false confessions to the Zodiac Murders. A number of these guys were running around telling people that they were the Zodiac Killer.

In the Green River Killings, there were all sorts of idiots going around telling people they were the Green River Killer. I know that one was an attorney with an extreme hatred of prostitutes who often spoke about killing them. LE interviewed him several times but there was nothing to arrest or hold him on.

It’s perfectly legal in the US to claim to be a notorious murderer. It’s also legal to harbor extreme hatreds for women/prostitutes, etc. It’s legal to tell people that you are a serial killer. It’s legal to tell people you want to be a serial killer, you love fantasizing about rape and murder, and you are very afraid that you will act on these thoughts.

I know that in the Smiley Face Murders, a man presented to a police station saying he had strong fantasies of murdering people by drowning, and he was very afraid he was going to act on them. Police were unable to hold him on anything.

LE is 99% sure who the Lewiston Serial Killer of the 1970’s and early 1980’s is, but they just do not have enough evidence to take him to trial. He moved to Appalachia, and he may have continued killing to this very day. Also he may have done other murders than Lewiston.

The Portrait Killer is a man who preyed on gay men in San Francisco in the 1970’s. He met them in gay bars, took them home on the basis that he would draw their picture, drew a picture of them while they posed and then killed them. He killed ~10 gay men. LE says they think they know who the guy is. He has been interviewed a number of times, but they don’t have enough evidence on him to take him to trial, so he walks free to this very day.

You can say just about anything you want in this country, and even if you go to a therapist, it is very hard for them to lock you up as a danger to others based on what you tell them in therapy.

In the UK, it is quite a bit different, as people can indeed be locked up on “dangerousness” charges.

In the US, it’s not against the law to be dangerous or even dangerous as Hell for that matter. There are few if any laws in the US against thought crimes. You can think and feel any way you want to in this country, and there’s nothing LE or anyone else can do about it.

It sounds terrible to say it, but we really do have to wait until a dangerous person does something bad before we arrest them. Many such folks may never act on their thoughts or feelings. But if you think about it, we always have to wait until anyone, you, me, or anyone else, actually breaks the law or does something bad in order to arrest them. The more you think about it, the more sense it makes. You can’t arrest people for what they might possibly do in the future.

Can OCD Be the Root Cause of Other Mental Disorders? If So, Can It Possibly Be the Cause of Schizophrenia in Some People?

Answered on Quora.

There are definitely some other disorders you can get as a consequence of having OCD, such as Depression, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, and suicidality. However, schizophrenia and psychosis is not one of them.

But many OCD’ers worry that they may get schizophrenia or that they are in the process of getting it. Sufferers call this S-OCD, Schiz OCD or better yet OCD with the Schizophrenia or Psychosis Theme. This is simply someone with OCD who has adopted the theme of a fear of going psychotic. As with most other forms of OCD, the fear can cause symptoms that seem to mimic the fear itself. In this case, it can cause symptoms that mimic schizophrenia or other psychoses on the surface, however, careful prodding and questioning generally makes a differential diagnosis between OCD and Schizophrenia fairly straightforward.

Nevertheless, many S-OCD’ers sadly get diagnosed with schizophrenia or other psychoses by ignorant clinicians and as a result are medicated inappropriately. This subtype of OCD is very poorly known and often misdiagnosed.

I run into S-OCD’ers with incorrect diagnoses of Psychotic Depression, Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc. on a fairly regular basis. The fact that when OCD is very bad, OCD’ers appear psychotic on the surface (but are not psychotic) confuses matters even more. It takes an experienced clinician to figure out what is OCD appearing psychotic and what is an actual psychosis.

At times the two illnesses are found in the same person, and sometimes in these cases it can be hard to figure out where the OCD ends and the schizophrenia begins or figuring out if a given symptom is best seen as one illness or the other. When the illnesses occur in the same person, it is sometimes called schizo-obsessive disorder. These people, who have much better insight than other schizophrenics, sometimes have a tendency to hide symptoms, which makes diagnosis even more confusing.

But having OCD is not going to give you schizophrenia. That’s not possible.

Do Gay Men Check Out Women As Well?

Answered on Quora.

Of course they don’t check out women, not like straight men do. I work in mental health, and I have had several gay clients. Due to the nature of my work, I often have to do a sexual orientation workup of most people who come to me. I routinely do it for people who tell me they are gay.

I ask gay men a number of things:

  1. Do you ever fantasize about women sexually?
  2. Do you ever masturbate and think about women?
  3. Do you ever check out women in a sexual way? Do you look at women? Do you check them out?

So far, every gay man who I have questioned has answered an emphatic no to all three of those questions.

It may be safely determined that the vast majority of gay men either rarely or never check out women, never fantasize sexually about women, and never think about women or sex with women when they masturbate. I assume some gay men may rarely do these things, but I have not met one yet.

Gay men are simply not turned on by women. Like, not at all. Like, not even 1%.

This has been my professional observation over five years.

If you are actually checking out women in a sexual way like straight men do habitually or even reflexively if not unconsciously, I would have to say you are some form of bisexual. What’s really important is who turns you on more, males or females? Don’t say both because science has proven that only 1% of all men are equally attracted to both sexes.

I have a test which I think is much better than the Kinsey Scale, and I routinely give it to my clients as part of a sexual orientation workup. Here it is. Tell us where you are on this chart, and we can figure out your sexual orientation:

100-0: Maximum heterosexual, minimum homosexual
90-10: Maximum heterosexual, incidental homosexual
80-20: Maximum heterosexual, significant homosexual
70-30: Maximum heterosexual, strong homosexual
60-40: Maximum heterosexual, very strong strong homosexual
50-50: Maximum heterosexual, maximal homosexual
40-60: Maximum homosexual, very strong heterosexual
30-70: Maximum homosexual, strong heterosexual
20-80: Maximum homosexual, significant heterosexual
10-90: Maximum homosexual, incidental heterosexual
0-100: Maximum homosexual, minimal heterosexual

All of my clients love this scale, and no one has complained yet. Also, incredibly, almost everyone almost immediately gives me a score on the scale, just like that. I think most people really do know their sexual orientation. If you sit down and think about it, it’s just not hard to figure out. So far in my work the only people I have met who claim to not know their orientation have been gay men in denial about homosexuality (which incidentally is quite easy to determine) or mentally ill people with some anxiety disorder. There’s no reason to be confused about your orientation. Past a certain age, it’s as clear as air.

Lies of My Haters

I wasn’t going to answer this stuff, but I think I really need to because this poison just keeps going around, and it needs to be countered. Every time I counter this stuff, it never seems to help with the haters, and it seems like it just makes them hate me even more. All of my explanations are warped into more proof that I am sick and evil.

Here is the entire thread. I will go through this bit by bit.

New to this sub…the threads at WS are way too long and rehashing the same discussions over and over, so I admit I am a little out of the loop on this case. Glad to have found this sub though. Anyway, I was doing some reading today on this case and came across blog by a guy named Robert Lindsay. He claims he has all of these inside sources that tell him rumors that he is “100% sure are true”.

He also states rumors as facts, which is super-unprofessional. His claims sound like a huge load of bullshit to me. He also seems kind of creepy to me…a little TOO involved/obsessed with the case. His blog made me uncomfortable to read honestly. Has anyone else come across his blog? If so, what do you guys think? Sorry if this isn’t allowed.. mods please feel free to delete.

How many times do I have to repeat that my beliefs are my beliefs only, and that things are that I believe, even with full confidence, are still simply beliefs which can be proven wrong at any time as any non-fact can? I don’t state rumors as facts. This is one of the most pernicious lies about me, and I am really sick of it.

I am really tired of the line that I say that I have all these inside sources. I have no inside sources whatsoever. I have no LE sources whatsoever. I have almost no sources in the families. All I have is locals who work with me and tell me whatever the latest dirt that is flowing around is. If you don’t like my theories, you hillbillies need to go look in the mirror. All my theories came right out of Delphi and the surrounding area. The problem is you, not me. You’re the ones who came up with these ideas.

The idea that I am too involved in the case is sickening. What’s this supposed to imply? That I get off on this sort of thing? This is another lie that I hear all the time. No, I do not get off on this sort of thing. I am sure many men do though, mostly in their fantasy lives. I am not a sexual sadist, and I don’t really enjoy sadistic porn, although I have seen it. I am not even really into S/M, B/D, which is becoming a legitimate Cultural Left orientation.

It’s just not my thing. I don’t have sexual fantasies that involve raping and murdering women. Of course I have sexual fantasies about all sorts of things, but rape and murder sex is just not my bag. Never have. I don’t do it, and don’t wish to do it. It doesn’t get me off. At all. This is libelous, by the way. You have no idea what my sexual proclivities are. The idea that you can read my stuff and figure out what gets me off sexually is crazy. This is an example of retarded thinking. You wonder why very high IQ types get sick of normal IQ folks. Because we have to deal with their retarded thinking all the time. This type of retarded thinking is called:

  • If you write about it, then you like it and/or do it.
  • If you talk about it, then you like it and/or do it.
  • If you write or talk about things that a type of person does, then you are one of those types of people.

It’s one of the stupidest types of retard thinking out there, but the majority of people think exactly this way. It’s also extremely Normie way of thinking, and Normies suck.

It made you uncomfortable to read because I discussed some of the gruesome rumors surrounding what happened in this crime. These are rumors now, but we will learn the facts one day. There’s nothing creepy, sick or evil in reporting what rapist-murderer maniacs did to their victims. Nothing at all. It’s simply reporting facts. Yes, the facts of rape-murders are typically gruesome and awful, but they are still facts, and there’s nothing wrong with discussing the details of horrible crimes.

He’s just out to make a buck off of gullible, lonely, bored people. He states he has all these degrees and credentials, but he does not have steady employment. He whines about his car repairs and his broken air conditioning. Reminding people that if they want to comment on his blog they should pony up.

Latest I read was when he accused Libby’s much older uncle having a sexual relationship with her and that Abby was pregnant by her thirteen year old boyfriend, so they kidnapped the girls, took them to a barn, tried to give Abby a DIY abortion, but whoops! Things got out of hand so the girls were murdered to shut them up.

And I also love the post he made about what he would do with the reward money once he got it.

His blog is like watching a car accident, I tune in just to see if he’s been charged with something yet.

I’m out to make a buck! I’m out to get rich! Last year I made $14,000. It’s been that way for many years. What’s wrong with making money? This is my job, and I work very hard at it. I request to be paid for my labor. When you do your job, are you making a buck off your gullible boss? Of course not. He’s paying you for your labor. Do you work for free? Of course not. Why should I work for free? Give me a reason. Any way you can legally make money is pretty much acceptable. We all have to survive. I feel this is a perfectly legitimate way to earn an income.

I do have degrees. Is it evil that I point that out?

Yes, I do not have steady employment in the form of a 9-5 job working for a stranger if that is what you mean. That is due to health reasons. Instead, I am self-employed. You got a problem? Before that, I worked at all sorts of jobs, including a number of professional occupations.

I am not understanding this critique. First I get slammed for trying to earn an income. Then I get slammed for not having a steady job? Why don’t I have to have a steady job? This is more retard thinking. Retard thinking says all adults must have this thing called “a steady job.” Like Hell you do. All adults should try to earn enough money to survive. You don’t need a steady job or a regular job or any of that crap. You can make money any way you want. The idea that everyone has to have a “steady regular job” is retard thinking, and it’s just more Normie crap.

I whine about car repairs and broken air conditioning. One thing I hate about the Net is this bizarre idea that anyone who complains is whining. No ever complains on the Net. All complaining is automatically whining. This is more Normie garbage, and it’s more retard thinking. We all complain. I have known many people who needed to have expensive repairs on their vehicles. Every single one of them complained about it. It’s a normal human thing to do. Only psycho Normie retards think it’s “whining” to complain about unfortunate circumstances.

That is correct. Regular commenters need to pay. This is more Normie crap. Normie idiots think bloggers have no right to charge for their blogs. There are pay websites all over the net. Many blogs and forums and sites run by writers charge money for some or all of their content. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s Normie retard thinking to believe that there is something wrong with Net writers charging for content.

The reason I “accused Libby’s much older uncle of having sex with her” is because that is what it appeared that he was stating on his Facebook. With a photo of him and Libby in the background, he was talking to another man and telling how he had sex with an underage girl. The other man said, “But she’s only 14.” In addition, there is a long-standing rumor in Delphi that this man had sexual affairs with Libby or her sister or both. I have no idea if any of that is true, and in the piece, I stated that there is no evidence that CP has ever had sex with an underage girl. Given his statements and the widespread rumors along those lines, it was legitimate to report this rumor.

“Abbie was pregnant by her 13 year old boyfriend.”

Actually the boyfriend is 16 years old. Blame the women of the Delphi area. This “Abby was pregnant” rumor came right out of town and was a huge rumor for a long time. I will report on all major rumors.

“…so they kidnapped the girls, took them to a barn, tried to give Abby a DIY abortion, but whoops! Things got out of hand so the girls were murdered to shut them up.”

The rumors were that the girl was pregnant and that she was found with a stake driven through her belly. The source of these rumors was women in the town of Delphi itself. With the pregnancy and the stake as our evidence, a good theory would indeed be a botched abortion theory. In any case with facts like that, you would have to consider a theory like that. The theory made perfect sense in light of the rumors.

And I also love the post he made about what he would do with the reward money once he got it.

Yes, I said I wanted to give some of it to the families. Aren’t I a horrible person for saying that? WTF is wrong with that, Normie retards?

[–]itsjesssa 16 points 28 days ago
I was reading the comments on his blog and he banned a dude for (what seemed to me) getting more attention than him. And he practically begs for “donations”. Plus he’s creepy as hell.

The man was banned for violating the Comments Rules. Go read the rules. If you come to my site, you have to follow the rules. If you don’t, you get banned. Why do you Normie retards have such an issue with that?

I don’t beg for donations. They are seldom mentioned. Anyway, requests for donations are very common with many Net journalists. Some of them are quite insistent about it. I don’t blame them. They deserve to be paid for their labor.

“I’m creepy.”

All this creepy bullshit comes from the fact that I discussed the gruesome details of the crime. Some of the details were sexual. So that makes me a creep. What a retarded way of thinking. PS, in Meatspace no one thinks I am a creep. Women and girls have loved me ever since I was ~17 or so, and they still do. It’s always been that way. Creepy guys scare women off. I don’t. I’m the flower, females are the bees.

[–]feelbadthrowawayyy[S] 15 points 27 days ago
I still can’t tell if that pic on his website is him or a serial killer. I’m not being sarcastic. Those glasses are creepy as fuck

What Normie retard crap. This is the usual Normie thing. Guys with glasses somehow look like rapists, murderers and child molesters. But they don’t. Most such folks do not wear glasses, and people like that almost never look nerdy or dorky. Instead, they look like mean, nasty Alpha criminals. And thank you for libeling me by calling me a serial killer.

Here is a recent photo of me having dinner with a gorgeous young woman. We are pretty much the same age at heart, although I am 31 years older than she is. Oh one more thing. And she’s a model! I never thought at age 60 I would be dating 28 year old models! Do you know what’s even better than that? I still get 18 year old girls! I am almost 60 and I still date hot 18 year old girls! So proud of myself![ 283 more words ]

Ew. What does a twenty something year old professional model see in an unemployed old man with no car?

[–]itsjesssa 14 points 27 days ago
Oh dear god no. He reminds me of this kid I went to school with who was very nerdy and awkward and had no friends so he would make up these outlandish claims and that made him have even less friends.
Or..ya know…Napoleon Dynamite’s brother, Kip.

[–]Supreme000 10 points 27 days ago
LMAO! Thanks for posting this. Now that certainly puts it into perspective, don’t it? Old and delusional. The rantings of a madman.

Bit by bit here.

“What does a twenty something year old professional model see in an unemployed old man with no car?”

I do have a car. We took her car, by the way. She drove eight hours to visit me. There are all sorts of models. Many don’t make a lot of money, like catalog models. I’ve dated model types most of my life, and I still do to this very day. I get hot women with no money and no regular job. I am almost 60, and I still get 18-28 year old women. You tell me how I do this. Some young women still think I am cute or handsome, and my Game is out of this world. I know how to get women. I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager. There’s an art to it, and I’ve got it down.

“Like a model is going to eat all that food in a crappy cheap place (what IS on that plate!!) with a dude.”

She didn’t eat all that food. She gave a lot of hers to me to take home to eat. It’s not a cheap crappy place. It’s a Oaxacan restaurant that serves authentic food from Oaxaca, Mexico. The food is excellent. It’s not the fanciest place, but you can get unreal food in some pretty humble joints. Anyone knows that. The food on the plate is called “clayuda.” Yes, she did eat with me, and as a matter of fact, she even took that photo.

It’s only people on the Net who think I can’t get women. No one in Meatspace thinks that, apparently because I don’t look like the type of guy who can’t get laid. More like the opposite.

“Old and delusional. The rantings of a madman.”

It’s all true. Want to call her up and talk to her? I’ll give you her #, and you can see for yourself.

[–]kateykatey 13 points 28 days ago
Yeah, his is probably the most infamous blog related to this case.
I think he’s a sad old man typing one handed trying to feel important honestly. There’s some of his theories that I can get on board with (e.g. the barn nearby was the kill site, their throats were slit, the recording is 40 minutes long and mostly screaming) but some of them are so out of left field I don’t know how he can post them with a straight face. The comments are often quite interesting though! Lots of valuable insight and theories from locals.

I’m not sad; I am pretty happy. I’m not old; I am middle aged. I don’t type one-handed. More libel suggesting I type with my dick in my hand.

[–]feelbadthrowawayyy[S] 10 points 27 days ago
My problem is he states theories as facts. For instance he calls the barn “the kill site” without any real fact to prove that is the kill site. I agree its a plausible theory.. but for the time being it’s just that – a theory.

How many times have we gone over the “states theories as facts” lie? Our theory was that the barn was the kill site, and by the way, we had some excellent reasons for feeling that way. As in evidence.

[–]aqua7 6 points 27 days ago
He takes info from other places and forums. He has yet to back up any of his claims. There are a few interesting comments, but not much.

How many times have we dealt with this retard thinking about “stealing other people’s theories?” Did they patent their theories? Did they copyright their facts? This site is a clearinghouse for all of the theories and rumors surrounding this murder case. Of course I roam all over the Net looking for theories and rumors on other sites. That’s where I get a lot of my material. That’s what we do here: collate theories and rumors from websites and sources and throw them out there and evaluate them. This thinking that somehow people have copyrighted or patented the rumors or theories that they report is truly bizarre. It’s very stupid thinking for idiots.

He has yet to back up any of his claims.

This is not true. Some of the things I reported I listed law enforcement and the media as sources. Most of the rest is theory, and there’s nothing to back it up with because no facts have been released. I don’t back up my theories with facts because it’s not possible to do so. Truly retarded thinking! How can one back up one’s theories with facts when no such facts exist? What a stupid way to think.

[–]Supreme000 13 points 27 days ago*
He’s creepy, and he makes some awful accusations based on “supposed” town gossip, and his own crazy opinions. He has no sources. He’s reckless with his opinions and what he is saying about the girls is criminal. He says young girls their age are masturbating daily and will seduce grown men because of their sex drive coming on like a ton of bricks. He makes it sound like young girls who are molested, seduced the man! He’s twisted.

It is in fact town gossip. I have had sources, almost all women, in and around that town since I started writing this stuff. Everything stated as a Delphi theory comes right out of women in that town and surrounding areas. Take it up with those women why they are spreading “awful accusations.”

He has no sources.

I suppose this is more libel. You know this how? You have no way to know this. I have a BA in journalism. Of course I have sources, and I know how to cultivate them. We learned that in J-school. I am an expert at obtaining and cultivating sources.

He’s reckless with his opinions, and what he is saying about the girls is criminal.

How? The girls? Both of them? What did I say about them that I can be arrested for? Is this about Abby being pregnant? Go talk to the women around Delphi because they were the source of that very strong rumor going around for sometime.

He says young girls their age are masturbating daily and will seduce grown men because of their sex drive coming on like a ton of bricks. He makes it sound like young girls who are molested, seduced the man! He’s twisted.

This really needs a separate post. I did a quick and dirty study ages of certain puberty milestones. While I was collecting that data on forums, the girls were asking each other how often they masturbated. I didn’t intend to collect that data, but there it was, so I wrote it down. In a study with 50 girls age 13-15, 70% of them reported masturbating daily or near-daily. If you think that’s horrible, go take it up with the girls who are diddling themselves. And if you think I made that up (Why would I do that?), go do your own study and prove me wrong.

The actual impetus for the study was driven by an anti-pedophile notion of mine. Yes, I did that study as part of an anti-pedophile project. I have had to do a lot of research on pedophiles as part of my work. I found that pedos often say that kids 12-under have a very strong sex drive and even try to seduce the pedos. I very much doubted it was true, but I wanted to see if it was or not.

There was almost no data on the sexuality of young children, which is almost criminal right there. What little I found indicated that young children do not have an actual physical sex drive in the same way that mature persons do. Mature persons have an actual physical drive. It’s in their bodies. More specifically, young girls do not lubricate, and young boys cannot ejaculate. Nor do young girls get the “pleasant pain/tingling sensation in the stomach/abdomen” which is a very common symptom of the physical sex drive in mature females.

After figuring out that kids have no sex drive, the next thought I had was, “Well OK, so when does the sex drive come on anyway?” I honestly had no idea, and the data was about zero. I wanted to know the age at which the sexless world of young children because the highly sexualized world of the mature person. So I went off to the forums to learn this. I also collected data on age of breast budding and pubic hair onset because that is interesting to me. Many people find the age of onset of puberty an interesting subject, and many articles are written about it mostly because the age of puberty seems to be dropping. I also felt that the sex drive comes on at the same time as menarche, which makes sense.

And it’s in their minds too. Mature persons fantasize about sex with others a lot. It appears that young children do not think this way. When I was a kid, I think I thought about sex maybe five minutes out of a year.

So there you have it. A quick and dirty study driven by me trying to disprove a pedophile lie.

will seduce grown men because of their sex drive coming on like a ton of bricks. He makes it sound like young girls who are molested, seduced the man!

With 70% of 3-15 year old girls masturbating every day or near every day, I would say the sex drive comes on pretty damn strong nowadays. If you believe otherwise, do a study that shows I am wrong.

Some 13 year old girls seduce men. It’s usually the stepfather or Mom’s boyfriend. It happens. I think they do not do this very often though. But as girls climb upwards in age to 14…15…and up, girls that age definitely seduce men. Hell, I had a 12 year old girl openly proposition me when I was 20. She walked right up to me and asked me to have sex with her. A 13 year old girl openly propositioned me in front of the whole class at age 27 when I was teaching school.

At age 20, I had 14 and 16 year old girls asking me out on dates regularly. A number of my friends have been seduced by teenage girls. Often they openly proposition young men. They are not very sophisticated about it.

Some men prey on these girls, but almost all sex with adult men and teenage girls is very consensual. The girls are very willing and usually enjoy it. Most of the time they refuse to testify against the man. It’s not uncommon for them to run off with the men.

He makes it sound like young girls who are molested, seduced the man!

OK first of all, it is not possible to molest a teenage girl. You can only molest little girls. With teenage girls, it’s statutory rape or illegal intercourse. And yes, they often do seduce the men. That’s been my experience and that of my friends anyway.

[–]feelbadthrowawayyy[S] 21 points 27 days ago
Honestly. I wish LE would look into this guy. Not even just in regards to this case, but in general. He is a fucking creep.

Wow, more libel. Telling police to check me out as a possible sex criminal. Libelous as Hell. PS, the police in Indiana know me well and I have spoken with some of them at length. They were very friendly.

–]feelbadthrowawayyy[S] 17 points 27 days ago
He enjoys discussing young girls in a sexual and sadistic manor wayyyyy too much for my liking. He seems to REALLY get his jollies off telling these weird fantasy “rumors”.

More retard thinking.

If you write about rape-murders of teenage girls, that means you enjoy writing about it!

How the Hell do you know if I like to write about this stuff? Actually I do not like to write about teenage girls in a sadistic sexual way. That’s yucky for me. I’m not into sexual sadism.

By the way, that’s libel saying I enjoy writing about this stuff.

He seems to REALLY get his jollies off telling these weird fantasy “rumors”.

More retard thinking. If you write about sick rape murders, then that means you enjoy the idea of raping and murdering! Incredible. More retard thinking.

  • If you write about it, then you like it.

Completely retarded way to think.

[–]itsjesssa 12 points 27 days ago
AND the masturbation habits of YOUNG girls?!?! Its on his site somewhere. I had to scroll the fuck away from that one.

The masturbation habits was a result of a study I undertook to try to disprove a pedophile lie. It was an anti-pedophile study. The girls were discussing their masturbation habits, so I decided to write that down. If you are so weird and upset about teenage girls having a sex drive, go over to the forums and tell those girls to stop writing about how often they diddle themselves.

“Omg did you see where he was talking about a “study” he did that teenage brothers and sisters almost always have sex with each”

More libel! I said no such thing. I did write an article about brother-sister sex because I always thought it was uncommon. But in reading around, I started noticing that brothers and sisters were having a lot more sex then I ever suspected. I was actually shocked at how much of this was going around. There is even a Reddit group dedicated to this sort of thing, and there are many posters on there, including adult brothers and sisters who are still carrying on. I never said that “brothers and sisters almost always have sex with each other.” I do not believe that is the case. However this sort of thing is more common than I thought.

More retarded thinking.

  • If you write about it, then you do it.

If you write about brother-sister incest, then you like it. Retarded Normie thinking. I have no opinion on brother-sister sex. I have a sister, but honestly I never thought about her like that.

[–]Supreme000 10 points 27 days ago
He has a very twisted view of young girls. Yes, goes into way too much detail regarding young girls, or his delusions of young girls.

My little study again. So go do your own. Prove I am wrong.

“His is the only site that is making outrageous claims that for me, boarder on slinging mud at these young girl’s reputations if they are not true.”

The “Abby was pregnant” rumor came straight from women in Delphi. How does being pregnant ruin her reputation? You can’t ruin her reputation. She’s dead. It’s not possible to defame the dead. Go look it up. Anyway, these things happen. Teenage girls, even young teenage girls, do get pregnant. The fact that these people think that is an insult shows their hatred of sex and puritanism. A teenage girl who gets pregnant is not a bad person. A stupid person? Yes. A bad person? No. This is Puritanical thinking.

–]gretagogo 8 points 27 days ago

Me too!!!! Especially after reading his “study” of the young teens.

Boy that study really pissed you off, didn’t it? Does the truth hurt? So go prove me wrong. Do you own study and show I am wrong.

[–]erictalkssoccer 13 points 24 days ago
He is a fucking asshole. Here is a post of his from a year ago, before he had reached any level of notoriety for his Delphi articles.
https://robertlindsay.wordpress.com/2016/02/28/sexual-asssault-for-beginners
Here is a quote (and no, this is not tongue-in-cheek):
“Have fun sexually assaulting women, guys!
But be very careful, and don’t get carried away. A jail cell is not a fun place to be. I have been in those cages a couple of times. You probably never want to go there at all if you can help it.”

This is one of the worst ones of all. People do not understand what sexual assault is. Do you realize that any time you put your hands on a woman without her giving explicit permission, you are engaging in sexual assault? It’s true. But if you are ever to get anywhere with females in this world, you are going to have to start touching them. Grabbing them. Putting your hands on them. Generally speaking, this is done on dates, but it doesn’t have to be.

If she makes a certain move, then you can absolutely grab her, start kissing her, whatever you want. That’s if she starts touching you.

Outside of dating, I have generally done this only when they started touching me first. But on a date, Hell yeah, you better start touching her!

You also need to do it in any sort of pickup situation where you just met a female, and it seems like a pickup. You met her at a party, or at school or wherever. You start hanging around together and pretty soon, you are spending the whole day with her. Every time you turn around, there she is. Pickup situation! Start touching her, dammit!

Or if you are over at her place. You can start touching her or even grabbing her. Do it!

You have to be very careful how you do this, and I do not recommend doing it to female strangers in public unless you are insane. If you do not do this right, especially if you are in public and you do it to a stranger, you can cause a scene, get the cops called on you, have some guy in the vicinity get in your face and order you to leave, and if you don’t leave, he may punch you. Worst of all is if police come and she decides to file charges.

It’s pretty much a chickenshit charge, going after a guy who touched you in public. So he touched you in public? So what! Tell him to stop. Firmly. In an angry voice.

But that doesn’t mean a woman don’t do it. Women file chickenshit charges against men all the time.

If you start touching a woman and she gets angry at some point and starts pushing you away or firmly and angrily says no, you really need to just stop. A lot of guys don’t, but that’s lousy behavior, and to me, it is very rapey. I try not to do that. It has to be consensual. I am not a rapist.

I had a naked woman wandering around my house for two hours the other night. She was my maid. I got her naked, took a shower with her, and got to touch her a bit, but she wasn’t putting out at all. She just wandered around my place for two hours stark naked, refusing to put out. I think that was lousy behavior on her part. Finally I caught her in the dining room with a syringe and a spoon getting ready to shoot meth in my place. I threw her out pretty quickly after that.

I would like to point out that a lot of men would have just raped her. They would say that if you get naked and wander around some guy’s house for two hours, you are saying you want to have sex and also consenting to it. I don’t agree. It’s false advertising, but I’m not a rapist. I refuse to rape a woman even if she’s pretty much asking for it, and some are.

[–]gretagogo 10 points 27 days ago
Someone else posted about him on a different thread in here and I chimed in with many of the same feelings as you. What’s really bizarre is the next day or so after that I was looking at his blog and he addressed what people say about him and he quoted what someone replied to me with. I’ll have to see if I can find it. It just really creeped me out.

That’s right. You think you can go on the Net and talk crap about me all day, and I’m not going to respond to your hater ass? Don’t think so!

[–]indigoworm 10 points 22 days ago
This man seems very disturbed. I was excited when I saw such a comprehensive blog about the Delphi Murders as I have struggled to find a good one. When I saw his, I was hopeful to learning more about the case and possible theories. What I ended up getting was the ranting and ravings of a mad man. When he cites his sources, it is a few words at the end of the paragraph. Really helpful, buddy.

Furthermore, he think Damian Echols is a Satanist. He presents himself as oh so intelligent, but he is a buffoon. The only thing he knows is the various types of pedophiles and that is probably because it’s his #1 hobby. It really pains me that he is exploiting this horrible murder to get donations and it continuously spreading misinformation. So sad….

I started stating my sources after each allegation because scum like you were freaking out and screaming that I had no named sources. First place, I do not have to name my sources. I have a BA in Journalism, and naming your sources is not required and in fact is a very bad idea. You know a person is a retard if they start screaming, “Name your sources!” or “Lindsay refuses to name his sources!” These people never took a journalism course. I got this with the retarded Bigfoot scum and now I get it with the retarded Delphi scum.

I fail to see how my saying Damien Echols is a Satanist makes me insane or not credible. It’s an open question, and many people do say he is a Satanist or at least he was one, and judging by his recent actions, he still is. I studied the case for a long time, and my conclusion is that Damien Echols is a Satanist. It’s a perfectly reasonable conclusion based on the evidence. Only a scum would say one lacks credibility for making such a conclusion.

[–]FrankieHellis 7 points 25 days ago
When I first came across his blog, I was excited and I subscribed. Within a day or two, I became unexcited and unsubscribed. That dude has some issues.

In fact, I do not have much in the way of issues. I am actually under the care of mental health professionals, and there is not much wrong with me. No affective disorder. No personality disorder. No psychotic disorder. I do have an anxiety disorder for which I take medication and hence the psychiatrist. I fail to see how having an anxiety disorder makes one insane or have issues. It’s run of the mill stuff.

[–]borderhorizon 6 points 25 days ago
“Robert Lindsay” is a pathological megalomaniac. His presumptions regarding motive and method are the precipitate of years of agonizing self-analysis. An analysis into the abyss of his own desperately wicked soul. He’s a social arsonist who is obsessed with starting a fire…and then coming to the rescue to solve it. In addition to posting a sophomoric criminal analysis, it would follow that he’s been unsuccessful in various ventures in life.

None of this is true. My best therapist insists that I do not have Narcissistic Personality Disorder and I do not suffer from pathological narcissism, in short, I am not a narcissist. He says I have “high self-esteem,” and if you want to equate self-esteem with narcissism as many clinicians do, then that counts as high narcissism, but high narcissism (high self-esteem) is not considered a disorder. In fact, it is usually considered a sign of mental health.

I have worked a variety of jobs all through my life, good ones and bad ones, and I do not believe I have failed at any of them.

Well on a construction crew, at a factory and at a warehouse driving a forklift, I could not seem to get the hang of it and was fired for doing a poor job, but I gave them all 100% of my effort. I am not worried about failing  at a variety of poorly-paid working class jobs. I have also had a number of relatively prestigious jobs, and I have not failed at any of them. In fact, I have a couple of jobs now working for myself, and I am doing quite well at both of them.

I have been under the care of mental health professionals (clinical psychologists and psychiatrists mostly) for much of the past 25 years. This is because I get regular treatment for an anxiety disorder. I’m sure that if I was seriously disturbed in some evil and dangerous way they would have caught it and pointed it out by now. In terms of dangerousness, mostly they say that I am harmless, but I will fight very hard to defend myself, and I mouth off to people who insult me or attack me.

I do not think our criminal analysis is sophomoric. I know for a fact that LE officers in at least two states read here. They requested passwords to the private forum and were given them. If this site had nothing but junk, I do not see why they would read here.

[–]otistoole 7 points 15 days ago
I’ve been familiar with this guy for years. He has to add his 2 cents to everything, from Sasquatchery to sociology. He is quite arrogant and unpleasant. He revels in being more intelligent than most everyone else. I really don’t think he is half as smart as he likes to believe he is.

In my opinion, he really just needs a good, solid ass-kicking. Seems like no one in his life cared enough yet to correct him or counter his megalomaniacal fantasies, and sometimes there’s nothing left to do for a person like this except to bust him in his damn mouth.

A guy named Otis Toole insulted me! I’m so hurt!

Yes, I have opinions on many different things. What’s wrong with that? That means I am a polymath and a Renaissance Man. You got a problem?

I do not revel in being more intelligent than everyone else or most everyone else, even though I am. If you take 1,000 Americans and put them in a room, I am smarter than everyone in the room. On the contrary, it is rather lonely and alienating, and it upsets me when my brain tries to tell me that half the people I meet are Goddamned morons. I feel bad about thinking that way, and often wish I could shed 30 IQ points.

Not as smart as I think I am? I am in the .1% of intelligence in the US, as documented by repeated testing. That good enough for you?

I do not know what to say about this megalomania crap. Wouldn’t someone like that be automatically Narcissistic Personality Disorder? Is it possible to be a healthy megalomaniac? If you meet me, you might be surprised. It’s often said that I am shy and self-effacing in Meatspace.

[–]dbbwlkr 4 points 22 days ago
I said from the beginning how his picture looks like the BG. It looks like he shaded half his face to portray this…

I admit it. I am the Bridge Man. I killed those girls. I was in California at the time of course, but I killed them anyway. I aimed my black laser beam eyeballs at them, and that’s how I did it! I can kill from 2,000 miles away! I have mini cruise missiles in my eyeballs! All you haters better watch it!

[–]feelbadthrowawayyy[S] 11 points 27 days ago
He does really put himself out there though sharing his ideas which is pretty brave. I have to disagree that it’s brave to state outlandish theories from behind a computer screen. Now if he had the balls to say these things to the faces of Abby and Libby’s families, that might be “brave” (or just dickish, but you get my point)

In fact, I was emailing a member of Abby’s extended family for a while, and he donated generously to the site. He also praised my work. So there.

[–]Hunt4lindsay 2 points 7 days ago
I represent a group who can visit Mr. Lindsay. We need someone to set him out on where he can regularly be located.

This can be none other than Brad Holder and his nutcase son Jason, Abby’s former boyfriend. Just what I need. An antisocial devil-worshiping freak and his snotty little punk ass son are coming after me. As if I did not have enough problems.

Do Therapists Ever Think Their Clients are Unfixable?

Question from Quora:

Some people are utterly unfixable or even improvable, but they are quite rare.

There are clients who are just too far gone, and they cannot be helped at all. It is as if the person were a ceramic bowl that was dropped on a hard floor. The bowl is now in 100 pieces, and the person who dropped it is on the ground looking at the pieces and throwing up their hands. “Where do I start?” he asks in exasperation.

All sociopaths and psychopaths are unfixable by their very nature. We can’t cure the sociopathy and psychopathy because they don’t want to get better. They enjoy being antisocial, and they do not wish to change. However, we can get them to change their behavior. For instance, a homicidal sociopath may show up in the office. A good therapist may be able to convince this sociopath that acting on their homicidal fantasies would be one of the stupidest things that they could ever do. This sociopath may then be able to go through life without killing an innocent person. So we can’t fix sociopaths, but we can change their behavior somewhat, tone it down, or reduce the amount of damage they do to society.

All paraphilias are unfixable by their very nature. The paraphilia quite literally will not and cannot go away. It’s etched in stone.

Schizophrenia is largely unfixable. They need a great deal of medication, and even then in most cases, they are repeatedly hospitalized. A few can go on to lead somewhat normal or even successful lives, but these people still need continuous medication and regular psychotherapy. In addition, they need frequent interventions to stay out of the hospital.

Many illnesses such as OCD, Bipolar Disorder and Chronic Major Depression are unfixable by psychotherapy. Most of these people will need medication for the rest of their lives. However, psychotherapy can improve their conditions a lot at least in the first and last cases.

Long-term suicidality is very hard to fix. It tends to become chronic with repeated attempts over the years. The suicidal person is typically defiant and is furious with you for challenging their suicidality. You are expected to sympathize with their condition, which is actually a very bad idea. Most suicidal people are what I would call “defiantly suicidal.”

Personality disorders are generally incurable. Theoretically, they could be fixed, but these people almost never present for therapy, and when they do, it is often at the behest of others, and they do not really wish to be there or get anything done. People with personality disorders, like sociopaths, literally do not want to get better. They like their personality disorder, and they are incredibly resistant to change. There are some case reports of cures of personality disorders, but in general the prognosis is grave.

I have never been able to fix long term low self esteem, and I have tried with a few people. There is something about that condition that hammers itself into the brain as if into concrete. I do not know why, but long-term low self-esteem seems to be one of the hardest psychological problems to fix. Why this is, I have no idea. Perhaps someone else can offer some ideas.

In many cases, long-term mental disorders simply cannot be fixed or cured. However, with psychotherapy and drugs, people can often get much better than they were before. We need to stop thinking in terms of cures and start thinking in terms of amelioration.

I realize that many clinicians insist that most people can be fixed or cured of long-term conditions, but I think they are lying. They are probably trying to drum up business. Many clinicians fear that if word got out that a lot of long-term mentally ill people cannot be fixed or cured, people would stop coming in for therapy. There goes their paycheck. Therapists are a lot more money-oriented than most people believe, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I know this field very well.

Clinicians have nothing to worry about. Even if a lot of conditions could only be ameliorated and not fixed, I am sure a lot of folks would show up to try to get some improvement. Some mental disorders are so painful that any improvement feels like a miracle cure to the client. A lot of people have given up on being cured anyway, just want to at least get better and are quite happy to do so.

The Untreatable Borderline Personality Disorder Client: A Therapeutic Nightmare

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)is one of the hardest disorders of all to treat. It can be improved with some therapies, but the road is long and hard. Many seem to go on for years or decades with little or no improvement. There are reports of cures, and I am familiar with a woman whose BPD cleared up at age 55 after having come on in childhood. That’s probably a typical cure. Decades of nasty illness followed by a lifting of the illness in middle age.

Many mental disorders improve in middle age, and even many personality disorders improve during this age period.

Schizophrenia often ‘burns out” in middle age, and florid positive symptoms are replaced by more negative symptoms.

Many anxiety disorders attentuate in middle age.

Even psychopaths often get better or at least less destructive in middle age, as many of them also burn out in a similar fashion as schizophrenics. A number of highly antisocial psychopathic men get better in middle age as the antisocial behavior attentuates. It is often replaced by depression, heavy drinking and a pessimistic, cynical, imbittered and misanthropic person who nonetheless does little damage to society anymore.

It should be noted the clients with BPD vary widely in their symptom pathology.  Some are much more functional than others. Quite a few can even function well at their jobs all day, but when they come home from work, they fall apart and shift into full BPD pathology.

However, some people with BPD are so ill that they seem nearly untreatable. It is these people who will be the subject of this post, not BPD’s in general. These people seem so far gone and broken that one wonders how anyone could ever even begin to put them back together again. I suppose some progress could be made, but the damage is so severe that I have a hard time seeing how even the best therapist could possibly fix these people in any significant way.

A typical case might be a young woman who, only in her late 20’s to early 30’s, already has 8 -13 suicide attempts and many hospitalizations behind her. She goes into the hospital on a regular basis. Therapy seems to do nothing but feed her pathology as she manipulates gullible new therapists to believe her lies, nonsense, and projections as the new therapist confuses symptom pathology with the truth. Drugs do almost nothing.

Diagnosis itself is often difficult because the BPD is so severe that the person often appears psychotic/delusional. One wonders what are delusions and what are not. Even the delusions do not seem to last for long, as they are dropped, changed around, added to or substituted in a wildly chaotic fashion.

Usually there is a lot of combativeness and involvement with the court system, as the extreme rage leads a litigious person.

Splitting is severe and textbook.

Self-image is so unstable that the person almost literally adopts the full personality and even persona of whomever is on their radar at the moment. The clinician needs to be prepared that this person will so identify with the clinician that they will adopt the therapist’s image and persona as their own. Boundaries nearly do not exist for these people, and they often fall in love with their therapists, try to seduce them, or on the other hand become furious at them to where sessions became rage attacks at the therapist, and the therapists is at odds of how to respond without violating ethics.

The client can become overtly suicidal even during sessions, and infatuation with the therapist can quickly split to where the therapist is the source of all evil. Homicidal threats and homicidal-suicidal threats against the therapist may now appear. The client then hospitalizes themselves due the “horrible trauma from the evil,  incompetent therapist” and soon finds sympathetic new therapist, typically a feminist woman, to unload her story on. The new female therapist forms an alliance with the client against the “evil male” former therapist and accuses him of damaging the client.

Commonly, the therapist gets angry and tells off the client. This leads to abandonment and a vengeance agenda against the therapist, who has now “irreparably damaged” the BPD and “caused them to spiral out of control.” Be prepared to get accused of abandonment, causing severe trauma in the client and making them dramatically worse. The client may become hospitalized due to allegations of damage from an incompetent therapist.

These people are so difficult and chaotic that many clinicians refuse to see Borderline patients. Some are on the record as saying that when they say a Borderline client coming their way, they hide under their desk until they go away. For a lot of therapists, these clients are nothing but trouble, and endless parade of drama and chaos. Therapy itself is chaotic, mercurial, and wild with severe splitting and often extreme idealization of the therapist for good or ill or both, interrupted by fairly regular hospitalizations. The therapist begins to wonder what’s in it for them and thinks you could not pay them enough to suffer through such clients. These clients make an excellent argument that therapeutic abandonment is the proper choice with some clients.
