Official Response to Trump’s Remarks on the AltLeft

Very nice response by Rabbit to Trump’s idiotic comments on the Alt Left.

There are two Alt Lefts.

The first Alt Left is a fake Alt Left because it is a slur invented by the enemy (the Republican Right) in an attempt to libel the Left by claiming that people who want single payer health care are the same as Nazis! Lately it has been more used against Antifa types, but even there, it is misplaced. When used in this way, it says that anti-Nazis are just as bad as Nazis! Sound right to you? Nah.

Furthermore, the Alt Left moniker is rejected by the very people who it tagged. The entire SJW Left and especially the Antifa completely reject the term Alt Left as a slur. So Alt Left is a term like libtards, Leftards, pinkos, or moonbats used against the Left by the Right. Or when we on the Left refer to the Right as Rethuglicans, Rethugs, Trumpsters, Cum Trumpsters, or wingnuts. All of these terms are unacceptable because they are slurs made up by one side to describe the other side and these terms are rejected by the people they are said to describe.

So there is no Alt Left in the sense that the Right is using the term. Furthermore the use of the term in this way must be rejected by everyone on the Left.

On the other hand, there is indeed a real Alt Left. Just as Richard Spencer and Paul Gottleib coined the term Alt Right and more or less started the movement, I coined the term Alternative Left or Alt Left and also more or less started that movement. There is a post of mine called A Proposal for an Alternative Left a few years back that is, I believe, the first actual mention of the terms Alternative Left or Alt Left.

The movement sort of sat there and floundered for a while, and after a bit, Rabbit signed on board. Ryan England was also an early Alt Leftist as was Lord Keynes, although he split off into a somewhat different movement called the Realist Left. Another early Alt Leftist was an Israeli named Nicholas Kaldor. All of these people are still very important thinkers who are all Alt Left in some way or other. In recent days, Keynes and Kaldor have become more associated with an Alt Left split called the Realist Left. I would argue that the Realist Left is under the Alt Left umbrella.

Since then, quite a few Alt Left groups have appeared on Facebook, and as soon as the movement gained some traction, it quickly split into ~12 different factions at the very least, following the pattern of every leftwing group since Marx. I officially renounced some of them, to not much a avail. There are now still at least 12 factions, and there may be even more than that.

There are all sorts of Alt Left Facebook groups, but I have nothing to do with most of them. Rabbit and I have both almost completely lost control of the movement we helped found, which is quite all right. After, you cannot copyright or patent a movement. Movements often take off in radically different directions than those of their founders. The Alt Left, if it even becomes an actual thing, will develop into and take the positions of whatever those people want it to take. The members of the Alt Left will be the authors of their own movement, but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with it.

I recently visited the largest Alt Left group on Facebook and was appalled at what I saw. I made a post denouncing most all of them and said I was renouncing them and what they stood for. This caused a minor crisis, and I split off to form my own group called The Original Alternative Left. It’s still quite small, and it’s also more or less  inactive.

The large group had transitioned into something I no longer recognized. Most of the people in there were Trump supporters and most supported neoliberalism in economics. Right there, I would say they are not part of my movement. You can’t be Alt Left and support Trump except maybe on an accelerationist basis. You can’t support neoliberalism at all. Major dealbreaker, and you need to go away. If that’s how you feel about economics, the DNC is that-a-way. I am sure they can fix you up with a nice cushy job as a pro-corporate liberal .

Pro-corporate liberals have been running the party for some time, and they still do under the DNC leadership of Tom Perez. Although the party is now well split into Sanders and Hillary wings, the Hillary wings are still holding the ball and trying to run out the clock. The Sanders wing is very much playing defense as underdogs.

Rabbit has been a very controversial member of the Alt Left as his split is called “The Left Wing of the Alt Right.” However, that’s pretty much what the original Alt Left was. Like the Alt Light, we were originally aligned with the Alt Right (or at least used to read their websites), but we split with them due too many differences between them and us. Rabbit has some pretty racist feelings at times, and he has written some pretty racist stuff. Most of his recent postings have been racism-free though, and I honestly think he would rather talk about other things ,such as movies for instance. And Rabbit is one excellent movie critic. In my opinion, as much as the rest of the movement rejects him, I still think that Rabbit is one of the most important thinkers in our movement, and furthermore, he’s a fantastic writer to boot!

Further, Rabbit’s racism is attenuated by his liberalism, and Rabbit is absolutely a liberal on most everything but race, which describes quite a few Alt Lefties. Questioned about his racial views, Rabbit said that he did not with to harm non-Whites in the US in any, way, shape or form. Although he is a White Separatist at heart, he doesn’t want to displace or ethnically cleanse anyone. He has stated that he wants to go to some part of the globe where almost nobody lives and set up a white state there. Like Patagonia, Antarctica or even the moon. You might say he’s thinking long-term.

So as you can see, his liberalism attenuates his racism quite a bit. As long as you are a real liberal, your racism is never going to get too extreme and is likely to stay “the White guy next door” variety of soft racism that is almost ubiquitous (and I would say harmless) in US society. Liberalism is like an antivenom for racism. I have racist feelings myself at times of course (How can any White person not?), but I find that as soon as I get going that way, my liberalism starts acting like white blood cells attacking an enemy or antigen, and I can never go far down that road. Further, racist feelings feel like an ill-fitting suit that one is always half-trying to throw off. As real as they might be, they don’t feel very good inside, and I am generally glad when they fade away. It’s not something I want to think about, and it’s not a way I want to feel.

Antiracism is a core belief of liberalism. Liberals who become highly racist (and some do) generally move away from the Left altogether and join the Right. That’s just how it works. Left-wingers who go antisemite (and some do) also tend to leave the Left and migrate over to the Right somewhere where antisemitism has a more friendly home.

As many of you may well know, President Trump conducted a press conference earlier today in which he specifically made disparaging remarks about the AltLeft. Many of these statements were slanderous and well off the mark. No one that I know who is associated with the AltLeft (which by the way has existed for years) would ever support or engage in violence.

As anti-Alpha Male anti-heroes, we don’t care for brodozers and machismo and people who eat chips loudly. We like our testosterone bound to SHBG, not left unchecked where it is free to bind to receptor sites willy nilly or converted into its more potent forms.

I personally don’t even like to attack bugs. In fact, I once had a black widow spider web in my shower and continued to shower next to it for a year, leaving the web completely undisturbed.

Occasionally I would glance over at the spider, its red hour glass glistening through the steamy water droplets, and I would say “Hey bud. how’s it going?”

I have no empirical proof, but to this day I like to think we had an understanding.

The idea that we would attend rallies and assault people could not be further from the truth. I could not harm a fly. Speaking of insects, I was as shocked as anyone when in the 1958 version of the film “The Fly,” Vincent Price and the detective just stood there idly watching as Al Hedison was devoured by the spider. They made absolutely no effort to save him, despite his desperate cries for help. Militants? Violence? Yeah right. To paraphrase Mike Myers in Wayne’s World “I don’t even own a gun, let alone many guns, which would necessitate a gun rack.”

Trump’s comments are a slap in the face to anyone who believes that the less aggro elements of Antifa and the AltRight should combine forces to get Single Payer health care passed and a plan for student debt relief. They could focus their dual energies on dismantling the College Football Industrial Complex. Time to get rid of the obsession with national championships, ditch the needless playoffs and restore conference rivalries. Go back to naming bowl games strictly after fruits, plants and other commodities rather than mega-corporations.

If the AltRight and Antifa groups are to have skirmishes, they should take the form of squirt gun battles, their classic Super Soaker 50’s and translucent squirt guns filled not with bleach but with Hi-C, Tang and Capri Sun. Yeah that’s right, the red pill is for squares.

The AltLeft is all about the Orange Pill. That’s where instead of spending a bunch of your hard earned mooncoin to attend a rally in Podunk USA and get maced by strange-looking subhumans, you simply head on down to the food court at your local dying mall and order up an Orange Julius, quietly(!) slurping it while daydreaming about the cosmos and reminiscing about the Radio Shack you used to buy remote control cars from in the late 80’s, which has now been replaced by some kind of ethnic eyebrow-waxing place (thanks to both globalization and greed-induced corporate imperial overextension.)

Go ahead, call us chic nihilists, fedora nationalists, new suburbanists, retro futurists or snorters of Pixy Stix. We don’t care. Deep down, orange you glad we didn’t take the Black Pill or the Turquoise Pill or the Periwinkle Pill? You know you are.

By the way, as I’ve mentioned many times I’ve always disliked the pill analogy. The Matrix is a terrible movie. The camerawork practically gave me motion sickness, and the whole cheesy “he’s the one” thing made this cynical GenX’er roll his eyes while mentally barfing at the screen of this melodramatic spectacle. It was a total corn muffin, not a sci-fi movie that I cared for, that’s for sure. I hated the digital effects and didn’t even enjoy the overall ambianic aesthetic as much as that of Damnation Alley, which is really saying something.

Trump’s statements are also a violent assault on every intelligent, well-meaning, teal-haired White feminist beauty who works her ass off in retail and reluctantly complains about how Indian customers are disproportionately cheap and constantly demanding discounts and other free shit. Furthermore, Trump’s words betray every Xenu-fearing person who has been stuck in line at Starbucks behind someone who couldn’t just simply place a fucking order without asking questions about every item on the menu…the calories, the ingredients, the special requests, the whole shebang.

When Trump condemns the AltLeft, it’s an insult to every person who recognizes that Vegas Vacation is the superior film in the National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise, even though Ethan Embry became kind of an SJW. What is it with former child/teen stars becoming SJW’s anyway? I don’t care about Will Wheaton, as I never got into Star Trek. Tristine Skyler (whom I had a brief childhood crush on after seeing her in the film Kidco and who outshined Christian Slater in one of the best ABC Weekend Specials, The Haunted Mansion Mystery) was a little bit more disappointing. She went to Princeton though, so good for her.

I really don’t understand how any 70’s or 80’s kid could get more than superficially into social justice. Our childhoods were filled with grossly offensive things, (remember Cabbage Patch Preemies? like ewww wtf I love social justice now), and those same childhoods were radically unmatched in their total awesomeness. Anyhow, suffice to say that Trump’s presser was a personal affront to anybody who found Back to the Future III to be a lackluster finale to the trilogy. I’m not sure how many people that works out to be, but it’s more than a few. You know it’s true. What Trump said is mind-boggling for anyone who was inspired by Warren Beatty’s charismatic “Guy Named Porpoise” speech in the 1978 film Heaven Can Wait only to wonder why 40 years later nobody prioritizes these issues.

Trump’s criticism of the behavior of the AltLeft feels like knuckles to the creep to every laid-back Beatnik Fascist that doesn’t care much for blabbing the drab gab but rather chatters hep patter on twatter, if you catch my drift. Not everyone wants to take the long trip to Roman Salutesville, but if we decide to rig ourselves a little shindig vessel, what’s the harm in a few kicks? After all, we’re peace-loving moonboots, and you’re the tabby cat with the codes to the missiles.

Every Left Transhumanist who seeks bionic upgrades, mind uploading, immortality and the resurrection of wooly mammoths should be disturbed by Trump’s pontificatory declarations about the fabric of our being. Like Box in Logan’s Run , we are “more than machine, more than man, more than a fusion of the two. Don’t you agree? Wait for the winds. Then our birds sing. And the deep grottoes whisper our names.” Trump may have “one of the highest IQ’s,” but he’ll be no match for us after we transcend our earthly bags of bones and fuse our collective consciousnesses to refurbished Tandy 1000’s.

People always claim that Trump is playing 4D chess. His moves are so unpredictable and counter-intuitive, and yet you just know the only possible explanation is that it must be because he is 12 moves ahead of you. I know this because I myself have beaten a computer at chess several times on the “very easy” setting. We here on the AltLeft have our own preferred game though. It’s called Hungry Hungry Hippos, and we’re playing for our fair share of all the marbles.

That a loose collection of White Supremacists and Far-Right extremists, however vile its motives, has shown a more unified opposition to military intervention than the Democratic Party is another post for another day.

Wow. The (((Democratic Party))) is so bad with all their murderous, slavering, bloody-fanged militarism that they are worse than actual Nazis. I mean real, actual, true Nazis.

That means that even Nazis are better than (((Democrats)))!

Good God, how pitiful. How shameful. How humiliating.  How low can they go?

It’s hilarious the way the Nazis got played by (((Cuckold Trump))), probably the most pro-Zionist and Judeophilic President we have ever had. They voted for Donald Hitler and instead they got (((Donald Ben Gurion))).

Discussion: Are the Riots Helping or Hurting Our Cause?

Ryan England: The antics of antifa and the black-bloc are a concern of mine. My issue with them isn’t so much their ideology – the endgame for the kind of society and world I’d like to see looks very much like something out of anarchist and communist theory. This has been the case for me for decades now. But going out and smashing windows and lighting trashcans on fire isn’t going to result in the democratization of capital or even garner popular support for anti-capitalist ideals.

Leftwing politics have been struggling with a serious image problem for years now. We need to think in terms of how the moderates see us. We have to stop LARPing and beware the tendency to descend into an ideological purity spiral. This has been a concern of mine going back to the 1990’s, and with the rise of the Social Justice Warrior as the Internet’s favorite punching bag, it’s only gotten worse. Shit, the annoyance they’ve caused for so many people recently is a contributing factor to Trump getting in the White House.

The Left fails because it’s an insular little clique with its own lingo and its own little subcultures, and the bulk of the population – the people who most need to know what we have to say – are put off by it. On top of that, people get expelled from Leftist circles for the most frivolous and stupid of deviations from the ideological line – the big Alt-Left groups on Facebook are constantly getting posts from newbies talking about the stupid shit they get banned from anarchist and communist groups for.

We can’t riot. We can’t smash windows. We can’t shut down campus speakers we don’t like. That’s what Milo Yiannopoulos and his ilk want us to do. Did you all know that sales of his books SKYROCKETED since the Berkeley riots? He’s laughing all the way to the bank because of what happened, and many thousands – hundreds of thousands – more people who otherwise wouldn’t have otherwise have become interested in and even sympathetic with Milo’s thought. Goading dumb Leftists into doing dumb stuff is Milo’s whole business model. Why would we want to feed it?

We can’t sucker punch Nazis – not unless it’s clear that they’re out to cause trouble, and they were at one time. I remember Nazi skinhead gangs. They were bad news. You need antifa to deal with that. But socking a goofy civvy in the face, even one who has Nazi views, might make us feel good but also makes us look bad. Maybe not bad in our own books, but bad to the Average Joe whose long-term decision on whether to go Right or Left may ultimately hinge on which faction abstains from needless violence. Notice that the rightwingers stand off or even retreat when the shit hits the fan now and let the Left make asses of themselves? They’ve learned their lessons and are playing a long game here.

If Leftists keep rioting, we’ll burn not just our colleges and neighborhoods to the ground. We’ll burn our futures to the ground as well. We have to stop it. We have to stop LARPing, we have to present ourselves in a calm and rational manner so that our critiques of Trump and the deeper historical materialist ideas that our critiques are rooted in get taken seriously.

I am unsure.  The peaceful protests and even the property-destroying riots and Trumpster-assaulting riots are not increasing Trump’s popularity or decreasing the popularity of our side.

Yes, there are posts on Trump groups by people saying, “I am on your side now!” but most of them we don’t want on our side anyway. I am inclined to say, “Go vote for the Right!” for these people. A lot of these people call themselves moderates, but in the US, that means, “Trump and the Republicans are right 50% of the time.” That’s not moderate.

Since January 26, support for our side has gone up 3 points and support for Trump has fallen by 7 points. So even the violent riots are not hurting us yet. As long as they are not hurting us, I’m not inclined to support the argument that we need to stop this stuff because we are turning people off. In fact, we may even be converting some people. Antifas went to the Women’s March and tries to explain why they were rioting in DC on Jan. 20 (mostly property damage) and they said some of the liberal women were saying, “Well, maybe so. Maybe it needs to come to that.”

A lot of others on the Left, not just Leftists but often regular liberals, are acting nuts now too.

Sarah Silverman called for a military coup to oust Trump.

Kaine just told Americans to “take it to the streets.” This is being framed by the Opposition as a call for street violence.

Police refused to make even one arrest for the Berkeley riots. The mayor apparently gave them a stand-down order. There are photos of hundreds of police standing around doing nothing on the second floor of the Student Union while the Opposition is getting pummeled outside. They let the vandalism go on and not one person was arrested for a lot of serious assaults on Trumpsters. It sure looks like the police are implicitly saying they will not interfere when people smash stuff and beat up the Opposition. Few if any prominent liberals have even criticized the Berkeley riots, and the media is pretty much blacking them out, which is tacit acceptance at least for media cover-up.

I have not seen the Left so activated since the 1970’s. The anarchists themselves say that anarchism has never been so popular.

There are regular calls to assassinate Trump. Madonna practically threatened to blow up the White House. A BLM speaker the other day advocating “Killing people…killing the White House.”#killtrump tags have appeared in the 10,000’s on Twitter. There are so many that I am certain that the SS is hardly investigating them. There are SS agents themselves saying they will not protect him from assassin.

And Trump’s actions by themselves are quite violent. So we are comparing the structural violence of Trump with the street violence of antifa. I must say Trump’s violence is worse. Until it can be shown that these riots are objectively hurting us, I won’t agree with an argument that they are bad tactics due to decreasing our support and driving support to the Opposition.

#‎whitelivesmatter‬ so I just joined this musician meetup.com group a few weeks back here in NYC. Some Asian guy , a member of the group, started sending out random bizarre multiple emails on the listserv saying he was going to “sing songs uniting the Minorities of America- the Blacks, the Latinos, the Asians”, and “we are all Americans”, etc. Totally random, totally meant to “make whites feel uncomfortable”. Granted, he’s clearly mentally ill, but yet another cultural/social event here ruined by racial conflict. That’s another day here in NYC. Events that have absolutely nothing to do with Race get turned into cultural battle-fields. And isn’t the Diversity here SOOOOO GREAT… more like UNPLEASANT and completely exhausting. INESCAPABLE…

granted most of the folks using this hashtag will be the scum of the Earth (White nationalists, White “advocates”, “racially aware” Whites, ad nauseum, but I’m about to join them anyway. It’s getting to the point where you have to pick which side you’re on. It’s either the Abolish the White Race crowd or the #‎whitelivesmatter‬ crowd. The first hate me and my people and want us gone, hence they are my enemies de facto.

The others are basically Nazis, but Nazis love me and my people (as long as your name’s not Zimmerman) even though they’re the biggest assholes on Earth. On the other hand, lightning and bees are far more dangerous than Nazis and their fellow travelers.

Anyway, moderate Nazism is catching on. It’s groovy now. It’s a happening, cats!

A moderate Nazi is about to win the Republican nomination!

I hate Nazis, but they’re better than the alternative.

The barricades are being laid down, the lines are being drawn. Everybody’s shouting, “Which side are you on?”

It’s a war folks. The Good Samaritan is laughing. He’s getting ready for the show.

Pick sides or go pragmatic neutral, but there ain’t no sitting this one out.

The Neo-Nazi Junta in Kiev Dramatically Increases Its Efforts to Provoke Russian into an Intervention

A new article by the Saker. As I write this, Kramatorsk is being flattened. The civilian casualties will be in the hundreds if not the thousands. As I am monitoring the Western news now, I am seeing absolutely no word whatsoever about this full-scale war.

That is because 100% of the media not just in the West, but also in all of Europe is 100% for the US and Ukraine and 100% against Russia. So we do not only have a controlled media in the US. In most of Europe, sadly, the media is also hopelessly controlled. The British media is particularly outrageous in its over the top propaganda. The German media is completely controlled.

The media in Sweden and Norway is also totally controlled. As one might expect, this gets the population all riled up, and at the moment, Norwegians are in an anti-Russian frenzy and people who side with Russia are called traitors and there are threats to beat them up. The Polish media is one of the worst of all. I assume that the media in Baltics – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, is 100% anti-Russian. The French media is very bad. From Left to Right, they are all lined up against Russia.

I have no word on the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenia, Austria, Swiss, Romanian or Bulgarian media. I would assume that the Romanian, Czech and especially Finnish media would be very anti-Russian. The Croats, Slovenes and Hungarians are Catholic, and the Catholics seem to be lining up against Russia in this war.

The only friends that Russia has in Europe are probably some of the Orthodox countries in the Balkans – Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and and Greece.

It’s pretty stunning how completely people pushing one point of view can completely capture the media in a Western “democracy” (TM) with “free of the press” (TM).

As you can see below, Russia has told the Ukraine no more gas. For quite some time now, Ukraine has been stealing Russian gas. Now that Russia is cutting off the flow, the Ukrainians are stealing European gas, that is, gas that the Europeans bought from Russia. Are the Europeans really so supine that they are going to sit back and let the Ukies steal gas from them?

Of course, the US and also Ukraine are trying to force Russia to intervene in Ukraine for a variety of reasons. I understand the US reasons, but I do not understand the Ukie reasons that much. It’s a trap, but geopolitics is a very dirty game and war is even dirtier. Nations law traps for each other all the time. You either take the bait or you don’t. In addition, geopolitics is generally based on conspiracy.

Nations conspire against each other, hatch conspiracies against each other, etc. all the time. This is normal brutal diplomacy. Of course the Western media never reports on any of this because the MSM and the US elite want Americans to believe there is no such thing as conspiracy. All conspiracy theory is lies. And indeed, a very large % of Americans believe just that. “All conspiracy theory is lies.”

The “all conspiracy theory is lies” is a itself a plot. The CIA hatched this project in the early 1960’s. For 60 years now, the CIA has been running a disinformation campaign in the US that says, “all conspiracy theory is lies.” The reason they do this, of course, is because the CIA itself engages in constant conspiracy, and the actions of the CIA can usually only be explained by a conspiracy theory of some sort.

The campaign has been very successful. Now that vast numbers of Americans insist that “all conspiracy theory is lies, the US government, the State Department, the CIA, and the US military can engage plot and hatch conspiracies to their hearts content. Which is exactly what they do. Of course we catch these scums all the time in their conspiracy games and blow the whistle on them, but every time we do, people scream, “Conspiracy theory!”

I know this because it has happened to me many times. For the last 25 years, I have actually figured out what is going on US domestic and foreign policy along with the ways of the rest of the world’s states. Once you figure out the truth, you realize that much of the truth is simply “conspiracy theory.” And when I try to tell people the truth, they usually start yelling, “Conspiracy theory!” and shut me down.

You see: now that the elite has convinced as all that all conspiracy theory is lies, now they can conspire to their hearts content! People will catch them in the act and blow the whistle on them all the time, but every time they do, the elite will yell, “Conspiracy theory!” and vast numbers of Americans will immediately tune out.

By now you have all already probably heard it. The CEO of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, has announced that Russia was now implementing a “prepayment only” gas delivery plan for the Ukraine and Lavrov has announced that he has “nothing to talk about” with the Ukie clown currently impersonating a Foreign Minister, Andrii Deshchytsia, and that he “would not meet with him”. Unlike the always calm and impeccably diplomatic Lavrov, Miller made no effort to show his complete disgust with, and contempt for, the junta in Kiev whom he clearly sees as blackmailing and stealing mobsters.

This was especially evident when he said that the amount of gas the Ukies had set aside in their reserves was exactly the amount of gas which they were now refusing to pay for. To put it in plain English: the Ukies stole gas from Russia to fill up their reserves and they are about to begin stealing gas bought by the Europeans. Nice folks indeed. Very “Euro-compatible” I suppose…

So my first reaction was to rejoice that Lavrov and Miller and finally expressed their total disgust and treated the junta leader with the disgust and contempt they deserve. But then a very unpleasant thought crept up into my mind: is that not exactly what the Ukies wanted?

As I have written a million times now – the junta in power in Kiev is doomed, Banderastan is not viable, the rump-Ukraine is in ruins and terminally broke and there is nobody in the West who can do anything about it. And I bet you that the Ukies know that. This is why from their point of view involving the Russians is vital as Russia is the *only* possible scapegoat on which they can blame it all. So now Russia has “cut off gas” and the Russian Foreign Minister has announced that he will “refuse to meet” with his “Ukrainian counterpart”. You know how the Ukie propaganda machine will present that? It will be something along these lines:

For all our efforts to negotiate in good faith with the Moskals who are occupying our land and sending in terrorists to kill our people, the Kremlin imperialists have decided to use the “gas weapon” against our people.

Worse, instead of thanking our Minister of Foreign affairs who, at a great personal risk for himself, confronted a justifiably outraged crowed and calmed them down with some manly humor and thereby saved the Russian “diplomats” (who are really all FSB spies) from the righteous wrath of the people, they have now announced that they will refuse to meet with him. Yet again, the Moskals have shown that they belong to steppes of Asia and not into the community of civilized European nations. Etc. etc. etc.

And, of course, the Ukies will get yet another standing ovation from the western politicians and corporate media. This is so predictable that it is not even funny anymore. But there is something which worries me much more: the Ukie tactic is a sound one. Why?

Well, think of it. If one side is truly desperate to provoke the other side, what are the chances that it will fail? If you and I met somewhere and I would put all my energy and creativity towards the sole goal of getting your attention and force you to respond – how long do you think it will take me to get what I want?

The same applies here. All the Ukies need to do is escalate, escalate and escalate even further, and since no matter what they do the Psakis in the West will always whitewash it, approve it or even praise it, there is nothing holding the neo-Nazi junta back. This is a small except of what Juan wrote to me today:

Kramatorsk as I write is being flattened, the entire city is under intense bombardment including Grad and Hurricane MLR’s. Everything, industrial areas, shopping areas, infrastructure areas, living areas, is being flattened. We’re going to have I think hundreds if not a thousand dead civilians. Is this the atrocity needed to bring in Russia? I don’t know. Yet.

Two cities in Europe are turned into new Oradour-sur-Glane and nobody in the West gives a damn. Germany and France pass laws basically forbidding the honest historical research of the Nazi atrocities in WWII while at the same time not only denying, but pro-actively supporting Nazi atrocities in a country which they claim is part of Europe. How crazy can this get?!

It get’s better. Everybody, and I mean everybody, was fully aware that the Ukies would sooner or later begin to siphon-off European gas. It was therefore quite evident that the sound solution was to have a North Stream and a South Stream bypassing Banderastan to make sure that *European* gas (it’s theirs from the moment they buy it!) would get delivered. But no, the EU criticizes Bulgaria, McCain takes a trip to Sophia and, voilà, the Bulgarians are stopping the construction of South Stream which, of course, will end up hurting only the EU (not Russia or the USA!).

So let’s sum it up:

  • The neo-Nazi junta in Kiev cannot survive, and it knows it
  • Uncle Sam is desperate to pull Russia into a military intervention
  • The EU is what is delicately called a “punk ass bitch” in US jails

So what are the Russian chances to not be provoked in this context?

Pretty close to zero I think.

What Lavrov and Miller did today or, should I say, were forced to today is just a first step. In essence, even though Miller and Lavrov did the right thing, they still gave the Ukies exactly what they wanted. And this scary. Because this “success” will breed more attempts to force Russia to react. What can come next?

As I wrote yesterday

“I would not put it past them to try an air or missile strike on, say, a kindergarten in Crimea or even in Belgorod. They could also kidnap a delivery man for a Russian company still operating in Kiev or heroically massacre of minibus with an Aeroflot crew on the way to the airport”.

They can also attack a Russian border post, bomb a Russian vessel in the Black Sea, or even blow up a church belonging to the Moscow Patriarchate. And then what? Will Russia still only verbally protest?

I am not making these up. There has been already at least one case when a Ukrainian Su-25 penetrated into Russian airspace to attack a border post controlled by the NDF. The Russian could have *easily* shot it down (they have the technology needed to shut down pretty much all of the Novorussian airspace without having to move a single missile batteries or radar across the border).

But they chose not to simply because by the time they would need to prove that the intruder was in Russian airspace the Ukie version (a Russian aggression, of course) would have made all the front page news. Remember how long it took the West to eventually and most reluctantly admit that “yeah, okay, it was the Georgian side which attacked first”? How many people today even heard about this admission anyway?

I am pretty darn sure that the folks in the Kremlin are fully aware of all that and, judging by what some people close to the Kremlin are saying, the decision has been made in Moscow to wait as long as possible simply to get a justification for the inevitable Russian intervention which would be as clear cut as possible. Please understand that Russia does not need to make any specific preparatory move to intervene in Novorossia. All that NATO nonsense about Russian troop movement and concentrations along the border is just propaganda for civilians.

The fact is that Putin can give the order and in the next 30 minutes the entire airspace of Donbass will become a no-fly zone, within the next 60 minutes most Ukrainian artillery positions and command posts will be destroyed by missile strikes after which the NDF (backed by a few more volunteers) will be basically sufficient to take full control of the Donbass. As for the Ukie death-squads they will run for their lives as fast as they can. The only problem is timing.

The Kremlin is desperately waiting for a sign that the Europeans are slowly coming to realize the monster which they have unleashed in the Ukraine. I personally do not believe that the Europeans will suddenly grow a conscience or a spine and considering the mass murder taking place today in Novorossia I continue to believe that a Russian intervention is inevitable.

In the meantime, the provocations will continue. I just saw footage of the two journalists of the Russian TV channel Zvezda News which had been kidnapped by a Ukrainian death-squad and for which the Ukies had wanted a $200’000 ransom. Though neither did go into any details, both had been severely beaten, one had a glorious shiner under his eye while the other could not hear from his left ear. I have also heard news there had been an attempt to bomb the Russian consulate in Odessa and that somebody had prevented it (local cops?) and that it all ended in a huge brawl. And, of course, bomb and shells are raining down on Kramatorsk and Slaviansk right now – the terror operation is clearly in full swing.

The Ukies will “win” in the sense that they will succeed in triggering a Russian intervention which they will try hard to turn into a war. If they do, it will be a short one, but the political damage will be immense. So I suppose a final rationale for Putin to wait for as long as possible is to get as high a percentage of the Russian population truly outraged before moving in so as to make this not a “Putin decision” but a “Russian people demand”.

I thus fully concur with Juan: it will get a lot worse before it gets better and lots of people will die. But at the end, Russia, and the rest of us, will prevail. Of that I am sure.

The Time Has Come for Putin to Make the Most Important Decision of his Presidency

Below, the latest from the Saker. I agree with him. I have a Russian friend, and she told me that the word on the street is that Putin is going to be sending in peacekeepers soon. She also said that the public was 100% united behind Putin. He literally must act soon or his Presidency is gone.

On to the Saker:

Today I would like to just share two thoughts with you and suggest that each and every one of you come to his/her own conclusions.

First, Russia was literally “sucked into” WWI by the Germany. Russia did not have to enter the war as Russia herself was not attacked. “Only” Serbia was. Russia was not ready to enter the war, but the Czar-Martyr Saint Nicholas II decided that it was his Christian duty was to take the defense of the Serbian people even if all pragmatic considerations were clearly advocating against a Russian intervention.

This war soon turned out to be extremely costly for Russia and greatly contributed to the weakening of the Russian monarchy which eventually resulted in a Aristocratic-Masonic coup (February 1917) followed by a Jewish-Bolshevik coup (October 1917). Did the Czar do the right thing when he decided to defend the Serbian nation at the potential cost of his own Empire, the last Christian Empire in history?

It is a fact that the Serbian Prince Alexander and the Serbian people have always shown an immense and sincere gratitude to the Russian people and to Czar Nicholas II (whose first icon was painted on a fresco in Serbia, not Russia). But Russia also liberated Bulgaria from the Ottoman yoke. We now see the kind of “gratitude” Russia got from Bulgaria. Will a liberated Novorossia be more like Serbia or more like Bulgaria?

Second, the level of outrage in Russia over the apparent Russian non-action in the face of what has now clearly become a systematic terror campaign against the people of Novorossia is immense. If Putin does not take action *very* soon he will face a very serious challenge from many sectors of Russian society including the media, the Duma and even his own party “United Russia”.

My personal opinion is that this “wait and see” game was probably aimed at deliberately getting the Russian public opinion in a state of rage similar to the one which preceded the 2nd Chechen war but if that is so, then now the Russian society has reached boiling point and that if Putin does not act very soon a political explosion will take place in Russia. Every day now I see already “not so veiled at all” criticisms and expressions of disbelief at the Kremlin’s “shameful passivity”, and I am not talking about some small extremist party websites, but of the most watched and best known TV news and talk shows of mainstream Russian TV.

Reporters which used to be very pro-Putin are now clearly and openly expressing frustration maybe not at Putin personally (yet), but at “Moscow”. But the writing is on the wall for Putin now. Furthermore, representatives of Novorussian authorities are now spending their time in Moscow going from one talk-show to another and making truly dramatic pleas for help. In other words, Putin is days away from what will become his political suicide unless he takes action.

I would say that things have become so bad that even if the Novorossian Defense Forces have what it takes to keep the neo-Nazi death-squads mostly in check (and I believe that they do), the humanitarian situation is so bad (over 110,000 refugees already) that the pressure to have Russia intervene will continue to grow regardless of the military equation.

With these elements in mind, make your own conclusions now as to what Putin should/will do.

My personal belief is that a Russian intervention is imminent.

“New Cold War,” Same Old Imperialism

This guy is a Trotskyite, but I often agree with his analysis of capitalism and US imperialism, which is 100% right on.

First of all, he is correct that the US was an imperialist country long before the Cold War and even before there was a Soviet Union. The Monroe Doctrine, still in effect today, was an imperialist policy. The US was actually a formal imperialist power around the turn on the century, and in a way, it still is now as the US retains colonies and refuses to free them as the UN has demanded.

Everything else he says is also right on.

The New “Cold War” Is The Same Old U.S. Imperialist War

As many in the U.S. today declare that Russian opposition to U.S. aggression in Ukraine and Syria are indicators of a new “cold war”, it is important to remember what the so-called “Cold War” was in the first place during the time of the USSR. Before the so-called “war on terror” there was the Persian Gulf War, and before there even was a Soviet Union there was “the war to end all wars”, “the white man’s burden”, and “manifest destiny”.

All of these were / are to justify one of the most bloodthirsty imperialist systems that has ever existed on the face of the Earth, that of U.S. imperialism. The fact that the U.S. used the existence of the Soviet Union to justify their blood thirsty imperialist wars, coups, and dictatorships in places like Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, etc. simply had nothing to do with any reality of an actual war between the USSR of the time and the USA. The so-called “cold war” was nothing but a hot U.S. imperialist war against the people of the world, a war that continues under different names.

Today, as usual, the USA is on a drive to overthrow every independent nation in the world. This has continued under Obama with his overthrow of elected governments of Ukraine and Honduras, putting a death squad government in power in Honduras and a murderous fascist junta in power in Kiev that includes open neo-Nazis who hate Ukraine’s national minorities, including Russians.

Likewise, Obama waged a bombing and proxy war in Libya that overthrew that country’s government, a government that committed the crime of spending some its oil money on providing everyone with free housing, education, and health care. This gave the Libyan people a far higher life expectancy than other oil rich countries in Africa ruled by U.S. backed dictators.

Likewise, the United States is currently trying to overthrow the elected capitalist government of Venezuela for similar “crimes” of disrupting total capitalist profit by spending oil money on the people. In Libya, the imperialists brought to power genocidal religious fanatics who committed ethnic cleansing against Black Africans, commits rampant torture and murder, and is allowing the imperialist oil companies to rob Libya of its natural resources unhindered by pesky spending on human needs. Likewise in Syria, the United States is giving weapons to genocidal religious fanatics that have slaughtered religious and ethnic minorities.

Russia is in the cross-hairs of U.S. imperialism today, in part for strongly opposing U.S. imperialist intervention in Syria and Ukraine.

Russia itself today is a weak capitalist country, but for the U.S. imperialists, it is not weak enough. An important adviser to the Obama administration is Brzezinski whose plans for Russia include economic isolation, regime change, and then breaking Russia into three pieces. Russia itself is not an imperialist power in any Marxist sense. Russia has more foreign direct investment coming into the country than going out. Likewise, Ukraine has had very little foreign direct investment from Russia and very large amounts coming in from the EU.

U.S. and EU imperialist strategy in the region has been to force a government on Ukraine that carries out IMF austerity and isolates Russia. They got this with the February coup along with a government that is likely to be friendly to imperialist exploitation of gas reserves through environmentally devastating fracking in western Ukraine.

Russia, on the other hand, is merely trying to maintain trading partners as the United States tries to isolate it and is not trying to dictate what sort of economies and austerity countries around them maintain. While United States imperialist policy is one of forcing austerity and privatization on countries, Russia has been equally capable of trading with countries that maintain planned socialist economies, to the benefit of the working class, like the planned socialist economy of Belarus. Meanwhile, such countries, like Belarus and Cuba, are under U.S.economic blockade because their planned socialist economies and independent governments prevent large amounts of foreign imperialist exploitation.

To the extent that Russia is now providing a small counterweight to blood thirsty and rapacious U.S. imperialism, the imperialists are building up NATO forces, pouring on lies similar to Bush’s lies of weapons of mass destruction, and speaking as if the so-called “cold war””is back. Yet, then and now, the so-called “cold war” has never been anything but a hot U.S. imperialist war against the people of the world.

“Calling Things by Their Proper Names in the Ukraine”

Another great post from The Saker! As you can see below, this is the actual truth of the situation. It is utterly at odds with the propaganda lies reported by the US and the West, who have constructed their own alternate reality of what is going on. Read up to free your mind of US media brainwash!

Calling Things by Their Proper Names in the Ukraine

Life often seems like one long never ending Asch conformity experiment: even when there is overwhelming evidence that something is “A”, the media, and those zombified by it, confidently state “non-A”. That this kind of doublethink is also applied to the conflict in the Ukraine should surprise nobody, but it is still important to “call a stone and stone” and to give a clear and unambiguous characterization of what has happened so far and what is about to happen this Sunday.

So today I want to re-state the obvious using the most direct and unambiguous language possible. My hope is to contribute to wake up at least one comatose person out there by calling things by their proper names.

So far we have this: a thoroughly corrupt but democratically elected President (Yanukovich) was overthrown in an armed coup by (lavishly – 5 billion dollars) paid agents of a foreign power. The new regime is composed exclusively either of corrupt oligarchs (like Iatseniuk) or neo-Nazis (like Parubii). Regardless, this regime has received the full and unconditional support of the US/EU and all those client-states worldwide which depend on them.

The junta in power has unleashed a sustained campaign of terror against all those who dare to oppose it, including civilians (Odessa and Mariupol massacres) and their own armed forces (massacres near Volnovakha yesterday and near Lisichansk today). Since the regular police is now disbanded and since the regular armed forces are clearly unwilling to execute the criminal orders of this illegal junta, the sole power basis of this unelected regime are death squads like the “Donbass special battalion”.

Furthermore, while the US/EU have accused Russia of being behind all the troubles, not a single Russian spy, agent or saboteur has been produced in support of that thesis. In fact, not only has Russia not intervened in the Donbass, Putin has officially asked the people there to delay their referendum, he has withdrawn Russian forces from the border and he has even ordered Russian forces to move out of their regular bases if they were anywhere near the border.

At every single step of this crisis Russia has offered to negotiate with the US, the EU and even the junta. All refused except for the short lived February 21 agreement which the foreign agents broke the next day only to be immediately recognized by the US and EU as a legitimate government.

Not a single person was killed or seriously wounded during the Russian military operation in the Crimea. In contrast, the junta has now used machine guns, mortars, artillery, combat helicopters and combat aircraft against entire cities of the Donbass.

While the Russian social media is full of expressions of sympathy and compassion for those killed in the Ukraine, the Ukrainian social media is awash with hateful racist slurs about what they call the “colorads” (a kind of insect with the same colors as those on the Saint George ribbon). Other anti-Russians slurs used are “Moskal” and “Titushki”. Speaking of which, Iulia Timoshenko intercepted venting her hatred at the Russians in a telephone conversations in which she said that “these accursed Moskals should be executed with nuclear weapons”.

And now, in the middle of what can only be called a civil war, this regime of racist corrupt and bloodthirsty freaks will organize “Presidential elections” after two of the main opposition parties (Regions and Communists) had their offices firebombed, their representatives attacked, their deputies expelled from the rump Parliament and their supporters burned alive, shot, stabbed, clubbed to death, kidnap and tortured.

And, no doubt, the Anglo-Zionists will declare these elections free and fair.

The above is not tragic or otherwise “disturbing”. It is obscene beyond words!

So let’s state is clearly: the “West” is supporting a Nazi farce which will only result in more blood and lost lives.

The second thing which needs to be stated with equal clarity is this: whatever regime is declared elected on Sunday (or in three weeks in case of a second round) it will have zero legitimacy and it will no be viable.

The third thing which everybody is desperately trying to pretend not to see is this: the Ukraine as a unitary country is gone and will never come back. The West has been working on this ugly experiment since the late 16th century and its objectives have not changed: to create an anti-Russian and anti-Orthodox “Ukraine” controlled by the Vatican and the Western plutocracy. So while the the US has invested 5 billion dollars into “democratizing” the Ukraine, the West has spent much more during FOUR CENTURIES to try to cripple Russia and subjugate its people. This is why the “West” is so adamant and willing to risk it all to prevent this 400 year old project from coming tumbling down.

And yet it is amazing that anybody sane could have seriously believed that this obscene alliance of ex-Communists (Farion), Jewish oligarchs (Kolomoiskii), neo-Nazis (Iarosh), Latin Uniats (Tiagnibok) and racist thugs (Parubii) would ever succeed in building something. No, all that people like these can do is hate, destroy, kill, lie, torture and terrorize. There is no “creative capacity” in folks like Parubii, Liashko, Turchinov or Tiagnibok. There is only the characteristic Satanic hatred for light, for peace, for truth, for freedom and for love. And, frankly, I believe that the same is true for those who lovingly nurtured them for years and now unconditionally support them: Obama, McCain, Nuland of course, but also Hollade, Merkel, Hague, Ashton and the rest of them Eurobureaucrats.

So there. I did it. I said it in plain language, I bolded out the parts I wanted to stress and even added some red color to what I consider the most important. Childish? Maybe. Am I venting? Yes, of course! What is wrong about venting when somebody sees an abomination being committed by a few evil men while the rest of mankind stands by by in total, deafening, silence?

Of course, this post is not very academic or objective. So what!? François Rabelais once wrote “Science sans conscience n’est que ruine de l’âme” (“Science without conscience is but the ruin of the soul”). When faced with such blatant evil supported by such blatant lies it is sometimes appropriate to set science aside for a while and let one’s conscience speak out.

I want to conclude this post with these beautiful words of Yehuda Bower who encapsulate the entire philosophy of this blog:
