Doncaster Extension For Mason
Aston Villa youngster Niall Mason has extended his loan spell out with Doncaster Rovers this season.
The 19 year old made the move to the Keepmoat Stadium back in the August transfer window on a half season loan that was set to expire in early January.
Over the festive period (December 29 to be precise) Villa confirmed that Doncaster had been in touch over an extension to that deal, and it has been subsequently extended until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
In his time with them so far he's made 18 appearances across all competitions and we'll have to see in the coming days if they try and extend the deal of Riccardo Calder who has also been with them since the month of August.
Speaking to the Official Site to speak about his experience with them so far, Mason explained.
'I`ve had a really good time since I`ve been here - and had a really good experience. I can`t wait for the coming months now. I am gaining a bit of confidence, knowing I can play first-team football which is brand-new to me.'
He added.
'Promotion is the target, to keep the performances we know gets us results and win as many games as possible. We need to keep maintaining those standards to ensure we get over the line. I want to keep playing every game and try to keep performing well.'
