Unless you want to play naff phone games resistive screens aren't a problem, they're fine for navigation with a stylus and a better alternative to doing so with a d-pad. I suppose the actual quality of the resistive screen is a factor too, some are wildly inaccurate and unresponsive while others are really usable.

The most important thing is how well the physical controls work and whether the unit runs N64 and PS1 ok, if those boxes are ticked then it looks like a winner.

if the specs are true, the only problem might be teh battery (which is easy to replace/extend by modding).

i think im gonna wait until someone else got it, if it proves to do what it promises im gonna buy it (and put a better battery in :P) !


also, i doubt that the next android device will be this low-priced again, so this is probably gonna stay the cheapest option for a while.

The Xperia Play is already a 2.3 Andriod and can overclock to 1.5Ghz with 512MB Ram and Good GPU its maybe not far from your dream.....

what would be though would be a hacked PS Vita with Andriod or Dingux type Os installed..... i think the Vita would be hacked by the time the Chinese devices catch up with near its spec...

One thing i would look forwards to would be if Game Park Holdings ever released a sucsessor to the Caanoo/Wiz.. they was nearly there, had they combined both systems into one package i.e a Caanoo with addition of D-Pad as well as its Analog.

If they released a system as such with better screen and higher 1Ghz CPU 256MB or more Ram they could also be onto a Winner. ;D

gotta give you a fair warning after googling a bit:
the site has a VERY bad reputation. so consider yourself lucky if you receive your item AND it works >_>

if you see any cheaper offer than on isharegifts, be sure to post it here though!

Electonixmart has a seriously bad reputation. They are known for:

- Listing items that are not in stock/available yet still showing them as 'In Stock' and taking money for orders - then not sending items out for months if at all.

- Sending out damaged goods and refusing to refund/exchange.

They also screwed a few people from these forums around by selling prototype A380 units. Units that were not complete nor fit for sale and units that Dingoo Tech specifically told retailers not to sell to the general public. They were merely evaluation units for retailers to decide whether they wanted to stock and sell the item, once completed.

Well I bit the bullet and bought one of these from isharegifts worked out about £59 shipped, so if I dont like then Someone can have it off me I`m sure... I got it because its android 2.3 so more things will run - so few weeks time I May do a video  8)

Man I`m a sucker for a Chinese gadget lol

I'm that ANDROID user from pandora forums, I'll be sure to update this board with roms and stuff I come up with...  this site seems to be a little more friendly to that kind of stuff. I'm almost certain if I link to a rom I made myself from one of these clone devices, if it includes anything even questionable legality (android market hack) they will amost certainly modify my post and remove the link, they did it before so I'm not even going to bother... I'll more than likely link to a thread over here on that thread.

If you all want to hold off on ordering I'm probally going to be one of the first ones to get it, (ordered on the 11th) I'll be sure to give my no nonsense opinion on it.

But I'm certian it's just a cheap or hobby toy I'm sure. I still reccomend the Xperia Play above all if what you are looking for is performance and build quality. If you want something to play with get one of these... it's the cheapest android gaming devices around. I would just not expect this to be a serious option.

i appreciate your efforts in this thing.
i dont really expect much... only if you compare it to a generic smp8000 device :p

my only concern is the battery life... be sure to test it a lot, so i know whether i have to mod mine or not :p
(if i succeed with a flawless battery mod (that is without having to modify the case) ill offer to mod yours if you want (though it would be the best option to let it send to me in the first place, to save shipping at least once))
