I currently use it a 750Mghz because i don't want to loose too much battery time.
The FPS difference in Mame is really obvious !!

If someone has free time to publish a battery life comparaison depending on CPU frequency, that would be great.

Ok think I know what to do no worries, I have the latest firmware and rooted already so all I need to do is install flash_image and the kernel of my choice, so by the looks of things the 950Mhz one is the one to use... is that right?

you can flash a 950MHz one if you want. I'm using 900MHz at the moment, because its adequate for my needs. I recommend people flash 800 first, and then step it up after testing to see if everything is stable and not overheating. This is because different  chips (even within the same batch) can overclock different amounts. You should be safe with 800MHz or 850MHz though, because that is what ARM rated it as iirc.

 

Abhoriel, SetCPU seems to be working well to me with the 950 mhz kernel and the setcpu.txt profile. All I did was to unistall the program and then install it again. Maybe some program is giving you some conflict, I don't know, just an idea.

I was considering getting a 3ds for all the great N64 games but the s601, with all the awesome adjustments, is now better imo.  If only there was this much support for my wife's s7100...

Yeah this aint working for me failed on setcpu.txt file

I put th setcpu.txt file on the root of the SDCard but its says it cant find it?

EDIT: no such file or directory is the message I'm getting

ruffnuts, make sure that USB storage is turned off first. if its turned on, the device and therefore adb cannot access the sdcard.

Awesome work guys! I have a little question, I can't boot any N64 roms or NES roms using NESoid and N64oid. I select a rom and after that the screen goes black and shows me the romlist again. SNESoid on the other hand works perfect, just like FPSE. I have rooted the device and run zepxxx's rom. Also, where did you guys get TigerMAME? I can't find it anywhere :O
