I'm using the stock mega drive emulator and up do date firmware and the games run too fast (I'd say roughly 20% too fast). I'm not using the fast forward function - that runs even faster obviously. Most games are unplayable - or at least 10 times as hard. I can't replace the emulator because it's a system emulator.
On a related note - the emulator versions of the ones installed are newer the the ones available for download - how does that work? DO they have their own version numbers?
I would reccommend re-flashing the firmware and wiping partitions etc. (When you turn on the device before you re-flash make sure the micro sd is not in, while holding the menu button) If that doesn't work do what i did which was use easy tools to wipe the original firmware and use adw instead and go to yonghzi's account on slideme (Google it, but it is somewhere early on in this forum topic) if not google 'where are the tigers apk' and install tiger genesis instead (You can also use the tiger genesis one if you want to keep the jxd original firmware) Or just go with the Robert Broglia md.emu from google play(Much better with sega cd support)
Ok since reflashing the official 800mhz rom again and using the easytools with ADW launcher I'm getting the FPse problem again where it refuses to load a game.
I have reflashed the rom again, done a factory reset and wiped media/data. Also deleted the .secure folder but still the same.
Is there a definite cure for this? Wiping the partitions sorted it last time but it's not working now.
Don't Know about definate cure but i had to delete my media files and my .andoid(Secure as well) after the 800mhz update but kept on getting strange glitches and FPSe would unistall itself or not open after a while, so i went back to the firmware before and just used the latest easy tools from zeppxx to overclock and flash new voltage stuff. FPSE and N64Droid both work brilliantly now and my device is only overclocked to 850mhz. Gets too unstable at 900mhz but for what i want it for it is good enough.
Also my device works better without setcpu enabled(Installed but not enabled) As i found that it would cause it to crash after 30mins play on n64droid and 15-20mins on fpse( Or even when it was locked overnight) but since not enabling it hasn't crashed or frozen since.
Dragonssss Tools that were posted are great too, but haven't had too much time to test (Only play while on train)
I love this device. Will probably wait 6 months now and see what is the next big android gaming thing.
