What is a gift subscription?
Gift subscriptions are a way for you to give the gift of The New York Times. They are available for either 26 or 52 weeks of unlimited NYT digital access. For more information on the access provided in each package, see the Digital Subscriptions FAQ.
Please note: gift subscriptions are for new subscribers only; the recipient cannot have an existing digital or home delivery subscription.
Can I purchase a gift subscription for someone who is already a subscriber?
No. You can only give a gift subscription to a new subscriber. If the intended recipient is an existing digital or home delivery subscriber, the purchase will not be able to be processed.
Can I cancel my gift subscription purchase?
No. The full purchase price for gift subscriptions will be charged at the time of purchase and is nonrefundable.

When will I receive my NYT Truth tote redemption code?
The complimentary redemption code will be sent via email within 10 days of the qualifying gift purchase.
