Vyasi Hydro Electric Project

120(2x60) MW Vyasi hydro electric project is a run of the river scheme on river Yamuna in Uttarakhand. Water from Vyasi reservoir will be diverted by construction of 86m high Vyasi dam through a 2.7 Km long HRT with 2 nos. 4.0 m diameter of Pressure Shafts to Surface Power house at Hathiari village to generate 375.22 MU (in a 90% dependable year).

The project with a proposed installation of 120 MW (2 x 60 MW) is envisaged to generate an annual energy generation of 375.22 MU in a 90% dependable year.

Salient Features :

· Location - Dehradun District, Uttarakhand

· River – Yamuna

· Capacity - 2x60 MW

· Concrete Gravity Dam - 86.0 m high

· Head Race Tunnel - 2.7 Km, 7.0 m dia circular

· Surge shaft - 18.0 m dia of 63.50 m height

· Pressure shaft - 2 Nos., 4.0m dia, each 209 m long

· Surface Power House - 72 m (L) x 24 m(W) x 40.2 m (H)

· Semi Umbrella Generator

2 units of 60 MW each

· Vertical Francis Turbine - 2 Nos.

· Rated head - 111.0 m

· Project land requirement- 135.425 Ha

· Annual Generation - 375.24 MU

· Project Cost - ` Rs. 936.23 crore on Feb 2010 PL

· Year of Commissioning/Completion Schedule - May, 2018
