Meet the new Angoori Bhabhi: Shubhangi Atre to replace Shilpa Shinde on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai

Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai makers have finally found a replacement for Shilpa Shinde as Angoori Bhabhi.

Actress Shubhangi Atre will replace Shilpa Shinde as Angoori Bhabhi on the popular TV show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.

Shubhangi has previously appeared in shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasturi and Chidiya Ghar.

"Shubhangi is an ideal combination of innocence and attractiveness. She is a fabulous actress and I think she will make an exceptional Angoori Bhabhi and will capture everyone's heart with ease," Benaifer Kohli, producer of the show, said in a statement.

Shilpa, who has not been reporting on the show's set for some time now due to her personal problems with the producer, was issued a non-cooperation directive by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) and Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC) earlier this week.

This means that no broadcaster or producer will be allowed to work with Shilpa again. Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai makers earlier sent a legal notice to Shilpa for breach of contract, after she stopped coming to the sets citing health issues; the actress apparently wanted to join The Kapil Sharma Show. Shinde in her defence said she was harassed by the makers on the sets and also accused them of unfair treatment.

CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes' Association) later directed Shinde to resume shooting for the show, but she refused to follow the directive. "They can't force me to work with them nor can they stop me from taking up other shows. I will drag all these guys to court", Shinde was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.
