NARRATOR: When you're packing
for a day
out with the little one,
you probably stuff your bag
with everything you can think
of.
But save some room for things
you haven't thought of.
Here are three things to keep
in your diaper bag.
Number one, plastic bags.
Any plain plastic bag will do.
No need to go overboard here.
Sometimes you've made
the change, but a trash can is
nowhere to be seen.
Your handy bag will contain
the mess and the smell
until you find one.
Or if baby has a spill
or an accident, you can stash
his dirty clothes in another bag
till you get home.
Number two, extra food.
Food turns cranky babies
into happy ones.
If they drink formula,
save time and space by mixing it
and pouring it in bottles
before you head out.
If they eat solid foods,
pack a couple of jars of baby
food and spoons.
But remember, you're packing
for a day, not the apocalypse.
Number three, a fan.
Consider this the triple threat
in your diaper bag.
You can use the fan to quick-dry
your baby's butt before you put
her diaper on.
You can use it to freshen a room
after a particularly fragrant
diaper changing.
And you can use it to cool off.
After all, changing a diaper
can be hard, dirty work.
There you have it.
Three things you should keep
in your diaper bag.
Happy travels.
