My name is Colton Cannon, and I'm from the great state of Georgia. I am from a family of 6, so life has never really been boring for me personally. I am on the baseball team, and can't wait for the season to start. When not at the Academy, I like to enjoy the finer things in life: nice clothes, Waffle House, and sweet tea.

Up until my Junior year of high school, I had never heard of the Academy. I had always wanted to play baseball at an Ivy League school and a military school had hardly ever crossed my mind. After being introduced to the idea and doing my own research, I realized that the Academy was exactly the direction I wanted to go. Not only do I see it as good as an Ivy League education, but this place trains you to become a leader in all aspects of life. Upon graduation, I would love to be stationed in Miami, Florida and become a boarding officer. I have only been at this school for six months, but I have already created friendships that will last me a lifetime! I am happy to be here, and proud to be training to become an officer in the world's greatest Coast Guard!
