Bees' central defender Leon Legge has won the Player of the Round award for the FA Cup Second Round, sponsored by E.ON.

Leon, who was shortlisted together with Lee Harper (goalkeeper) of Kettering Town, David Lucas (goalkeeper) of Swindon Town and Vincent Pericard (striker) of Carlisle United, was nominated for the goal he scored to knock out Walsall in the Second Round and also the last gasp tackle on Steve Jones which deprived the visitors of maybe snatching a late equaliser.

On hearing he had won the award, Leon said:"I`m very pleased to win the award but in truth I was surprised to get nominated in the first place. But it`s satisfying to think that it was based on my all round game, scoring a goal and making a telling tackle. Let`s hope I can do the same in the next round, if selected."
