­Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu called for concerted effort to axe politics of conspiracy in a bid to implement the dreams envisaged by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Terming August a cruel month, he said Bangabandhu along with most of his family members were killed and generate attack on his daughter Sheikh Hasina was launched in this month.

The nation and pro-liberation forces came under attack most frequently in August, he added.

Inu, also president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), was addressing a rally of his party men in front of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh on Wednesday. The party organised a mass procession protesting conspiracy against the country hatched by BNP and its ally Jamaat.

Party’s general secretary Shirin Akhter MP, standing committee member Prof Anwar Hossain, vice-president Mir Hossain Akter, joint general secretary Advocate Habibur Rahman Shawkat, Nader Chowdhury, Nurul Akter and Obaidur Rahman Chunnu attended the event, among others.
