Encouraged by the suc cess of two earlier express bus services, the Transit Authority will begin a new express line tomorrow be tween Hillside Avenue and 267th Street in eastern Queens and midtown Man hattan at 7 A.M.

The new service, to be known as the Hillside Ave nue‐Manhattan Express and designated Q‐18X, will be operated during the morning and evening rush hours. The one‐way fare will be $1.

Initially, buses will leave from Hillside Avenue and 267th Street at 7, 7:15, 7:30 and 7:45 A.M. They will pick up passengers at nine more stops: 256th Street, Com monwealth Boulevard, Win chester Boulevard, Spring field Boulevard, 215th Place, 211th Street, Francis Lewis Boulevard, 197th Street and 188th Street.

From 188th Street, the buses will run along Queens Boulevard and over the Queensboro Bridge into Man hattan. Discharge, stops will be at 60th Street and Lex ington Avenue and along Fifth Avenue at 59th, 50th, 42d, 34th and 23d Streets.

Return buses will leave from 24th Street and Madi son Avenue at 4:30, 4:45, 5:00 and 5:15 P.M., picking up passengers along Madison at 34th, 42d, 50th and 59th Streets and at 59th and Lex ington Avenue. Queens stops will be the same as in the morning.

The Transit Authority now operates express service to Manhattan from Staten Is land over the Verrazano Bridge and to Wall Street from Yorkville on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The Yorkville service, which be gan last April with eight morning departures, now has 30 every weekday.
