1.「dessert」 or 「desert」 

Dessert 指的是甜点，而desert是指沙漠。 

2.「accept」 or 「except」 

accept指的是"接受或同意某事"，而except意思是"拒绝"。 

3.「there」 or 「their」 

前者是指一个地点副词，而后者是所有格代名词，譬如说Their house is over there。 

4.「principle」 or 「principal」 

Principles是信念，价值和基本事实，而principal是指学校校长，或是其他主要事物。 

5.「borrow」 or 「lend」 

borrow意思是接受事物，如贷款，而lend意思是给出事物，像是借出，譬如说：Can I borrow your car? Sorry, I can't lend it to you today. 

6.「advice」 or 「advise」 

前者是名词而后者是动词，所以您能够advise某人好的advice。 

7.「despite」 or 「although」
