PTV Hubs provide contact with helpful staff who can assist you with all your public transport needs and help you get to where you need to go.

Information on free travel passes

PTV Hub - Southern Cross Station, near the corner of Spencer and Collins streets 

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 6pm

Open all public holidays except Christmas Day.

Ticketing:

  • buy a full fare myki from the myki machine
  • buy a myki Explorer Pack
  • register your myki
  • learn how to top up your myki with myki money and myki pass at the myki machine (minimum of $1 and maximum of $250)
  • get staff to help you with using a myki machine
  • pick up your free seniors/DSP/CAR myki
  • redeem a Free Travel Voucher
  • on the spot replacement of non-operational myki cards (please note a balance transfer may take up to 3 days for myki pass and 5 days for myki money)
  • purchase an additional full fare or concession myki using the existing myki money on your current card
  • find out about the refund and replacement process for myki
  • get information about Free Travel Passes applications

PTV Hub - 750 Collins Street, Docklands, 3008 

In addition to the services provided at the PTV Hub – Southern Cross Station, you can also lodge all student and concession card applications, get information and lodge Free Travel Pass applications, get on the spot  replacement of non-operational myki cards with full balance transfer at the PTV Hub on Collins Street. 

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm.

  • lodgment of VPT Student Concession Card and Student Pass application forms

  • purchase and top up a myki
  • register myki and establish auto top up
  • pick up free seniors/DSP/CAR myki
  • on the spot replacement of non-operational myki cards (please note a balance transfer may take up to 3 days for myki pass and 5 days for myki money)
  • exchange myki full fare to concession or vice versa (please note that card balance cannot be transferred on the spot. A refund cheque will be sent to you in the mail)

All PTV Hubs have been awarded the Communication Access Symbol

When you see the Communication Access Symbol at our hubs, it means that:

  • Our staff have been trained to understand how different people communicate, including people with communication difficulties
  • Communication tools are available for customers with communication difficulties and staff to help with communication
  • Brochures and other written information is available in an easy to read and other formats

At every PTV Hub, you will see this sign:

You can point to this sign to let staff know you’d like to use a PTV Hub communication board to help get your message across. Staff will then show you the boards they have to support effective communication.

 Free Travel Passes

The pass holder must advise Public Transport Victoria as soon as possible if the Travel Pass is lost, stolen, non-operational or damaged, including if they become aware that the name or photograph is illegible. A free replacement Travel Pass will be issued.

Types of passes available

As part of its service to customers, Public Transport Victoria provides discounted or special travel passes to eligible customers for use on the Victorian public transport network. This privacy policy relates to these travel passes.

Personal information we collect

In order to determine your eligibility for these travel passes and issue the relevant pass to you, it is necessary for us to collect personal information from you. This information usually includes your name, address, contact details, photo, type of pass you require and proof of eligibility for the relevant travel pass that you have applied for.

How we use your personal information

All of your personal information provided to us will be handled in accordance with the Public Transport Victoria Privacy Policy. We will use the personal information you provide to us to determine your eligibility for a travel pass, issue a pass to you and later a myki card, to remind you of renewal dates for your pass, or to contact you in relation to your pass when reasonable. We may also use your personal information for any of the reasons set out in the Public Transport Victoria Privacy Policy.

Access to your personal information

You may request access to any personal information that we hold about you in accordance with the Public Transport Victoria Privacy Policy at any time. You may also request that any incorrect personal information that we hold about you is corrected in accordance with the Public Transport Victoria Privacy Policy.
