- To diagnose and treat patients suffering from benign or malignant blood disorders, as inpatients or outpatients
- To be the French-speaking Swiss center of reference for allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, including the harvesting of cells by cytapheresis
- To ensure the Geneva region is self-sufficient in terms of transfusions by collecting, stocking and distributing blood products
- To carry out specialist hematology consultations for HUG and for the Geneva region
