RNS – Avtotor plant has started the production of KIA Stinger, using SKD method in Kaliningrad. The model will be delivered to the customers from March 2018 onwards, as stated by the Korean company.
The price of the model will start from 1.999 million rubles. The vehicle will be available with two different engine options, rear or 4-wheel drive. The world premier of the KIA Stinger took place in January 2017 in Detroit.
Avtotor currently assembles KIA cee’d, Cerato, Mohave, Optima, Picanto, Quoris, Sorento, Sorento Prime, Soul and Sportage.
As reported previously, according to preliminary data, Avtotor has manufactured more than 140,000 vehicles in 2017. An increase of 10-15% in production is within the plans for 2018. Avtotor also manufactures BMW, Hyundai and Genesis cars, as well as commercial vehicles.
