As part of the TTC’s continuing modernization efforts the turnstiles at the main and south entrances and the high gates at the west automatic entrance to Bloor-Yonge Station will be replaced with new paddle-style fare gates.

Construction at the main entrance is scheduled to start on Oct. 23.

  • The construction will be done in two phases. Customers will enter the station through the collector booth aisle or through a temporary station collector entrance
  • A PRESTO card reader will be available for PRESTO card customers during both phases of construction.

Construction at the south entrance (Xerox Centre) is scheduled to start on Oct. 26.

  • The construction will be done in two phases. Customers will enter the station through a temporary station collector entrance.
  • The collector booth will be open for sales only. Customers won’t be able to enter the station through that aisle.

Construction at the Yonge Street automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Nov 1.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Nov 1 until the middle of next January.
  • When construction ends customers will only be able to access this entrance by PRESTO card.
