Program Description

TCC offers courses that cover the first 2 years of a typical 4-year college communications program (college-level courses) as well as courses to develop math skills needed for college-level communications courses.

Degree Options: Associate in Arts degree (PDF)

Tacoma Community College recommends the following courses for students wishing to earn a four-year degree in Communication Studies (formerly SPEECH).  This program meets the requirements for the Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences.  Substitutions may be made for any of these courses, provided that the degree plan is followed for the Arts & Sciences Option A degree.  Consult with a TCC CMST advisor for other program options.
