| The President’s FY 2019 budget proposes the elimination of the National Endowment for the Arts. With that said, our FY 2018 operations remain unchanged. We continue to make FY 2018 grant awards and will continue to honor all obligated grant funds made to date. In addition, we will continue to accept grant applications for FY 2019 at our usual deadlines. The President’s budget request is a first step in a very long budget process. The agency continues to operate as usual and will do so until a new budget is enacted by Congress. |
We fund projects only. Projects may consist of one or more specific events or activities. Projects do not have to be new. Excellent existing projects can be just as competitive as new activities. Projects do not need to be big either; we welcome small projects that can make a difference in their community or field.
