Standard came from behind to triumph, with the equaliser coming after an awful backpass from midfielder Sander Berge left Vukovic in an awkward position.

Berge looped a bouncing backpass towards Vukovic, leaving the Australian unable to handle the ball.

Vukovic was subsequently outjumped just inside the box by Standard striker Edmilson Junior, who headed the ball into the empty net shortly after the break.

The goal turned the game, with Paul Jose M'Poku hitting the winner on 63 minutes, with Vukovic unable to prevent it.

Vukovic had a minor injury in pre-season and was overlooked for his debut in Genk's season opener last weekend.

Young goalkeeper Nordin Jackers was preferred last weekend, but shipped three goals in a 3-3 draw with Waasland-Beveren.

The 32-year-old moved from Sydney FC to Genk in the off-season, earning his first taste of European action, after a brief previous spell in Turkey in 2010.
