Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer Secret Superstar continues its splendid run at the Hong Kong box office. From its three theatrical run, the musical drama has collected Rs 9.75 crore at the ticket windows. Despite having a limited release, the film has performed extremely well thanks to its relevant and strong plot. Secret Superstar will cross Rs 10 crore mark by today or tomorrow at the box office.

Apart from the lead cast, the film also features Meher Vij and Raj Arjun in key roles. The film is directed by debutant Advait Chandan. Secret Superstar is based on a teenage girl named Insiya, played by Zaira Wasim, who sets out to follow her dream of being a singing superstar under the confinement of anonymity. The film was made on a modest budget of 15 crores including Cost of Production and Print and Publicity. Secret Superstar which was released during Diwali had done a decent business but was overshadowed by Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again at the box office.Secret Superstar is currently the fourth highest Hindi worldwide grosser of all time after Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While the film turned out to be a decent grosser at the domestic box office, it did a mind-boggling business of over Rs 800 crore at the Chinese box office, thanks to Aamir Khan’s superstardom there. Secret Superstar is produced by Aamir Khan along with Zee Studios.
