Ieva is a Lithuanian singer who lives in Kaunas, the East European nation's second largest city.

She received a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from the International School of Law and Business in the capital, Vilnius.

Her passion for music began at a young age - since she was just 7 Ieva has been singing at school and participated in competitions and festivals.

She appeared on The Voice Of Lithuania for the first time in 2012 where she reached the superfinal but didn't quite make the cut.

Ieva attempted to represent her country in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

What song is Ieva Zasimauskaitė singing at Eurovision 2018?

In 2018, Ieva performed with the song When We're Old which has a lot of emotional meaning to her.

Ultimately the message of the song is that love can last forever and that is can defeat our fears.

Has Lithuania ever won Eurovision before?

Lithuania made its Eurovision debut in 1994 - their entry, Ovidijus Vyšniauskas, finished last with zero points which prompted the nation to quit until returning in 1999.

Their best ever result came in 2006 when Lithuania placed sixth with the song We Are The Winners by LT United.

They reached the top 10 for the second time in 2016 with Donny Montell's I've Been Waiting For This Night.

Lithuania is, unfortunately, the only Baltic state not to win the competition, with Latvia and Estonia winning in 2001 and 2002 respectively.

They tend to vote Russia, Latvia, and Ukraine in the grand final and it seems as though that tradition may continue this year with all nations hoping to reach the final.

When is Eurovision 2018 and where is it taking place?

The 63rd Eurovision Song Contest started on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, and end with the Grand Final on Saturday, May 12.

It will take place for the first time in Portugal, at the Altice Arena in Lisbon.

Portugal achieved its first Eurovision victory at the 2017 contest in Kiev with their song Amar Pelos Dois, which was performed by Salvador Sobral.
