BTS explain what Love Yourself: Tear is all about in comeback preview show
The day has finally come โ BTSโs Love Yourself: Tear is dropping today.
The K-pop bandโs third full-length Korean album is set for release at 6pm Korean time (9am GMT) and the ARMY are beside themselves with excitement.
But before the album was available to download, the idols gave fans some teasers on what to expect from Love Yourself: Tear.
RM, V, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga and J-Hope appeared on VLive this morning for their Comeback Preview Show, and chatted about a number of songs on the album.
Speaking about their lead single Fake Love, Jimin said: โI think [the fans] will love Fake Love. I personally wouldnโt say that one of our songs is this good. But Fake Love was good.โ
J-Hope added: โJimin was going crazy in the shower!โ
V said of the track that Jin is the standout, saying: โJin-hyung had a lot of cool parts in Fake Love. Jin-hyung is the main character.โ
While the band is in agreement of the epic-ness of Fake Love, they found Outro: Tear the most difficult to record.
Jin said: โI really thought that was the most difficult to recordโ, with Suga adding: โI had a hard time filming Outro: Tear. The measures are super long.
โI threw away my old styles, and tried new methods. There were a lot of new things in this album. It was hard but fun.โ
Prior to the comeback show, RM teased that the whole album is about love, and the pain that it can cause.
The group leader told J-14: โBasically love is complex. Thereโs sort of some sides that make us really feel bad or depressed. There could be tears, there could be sadness.
โSo this time we wanted to focus on some of the parts of love that we want to run away from. So the name is Tear.
โSo we want to say that if you wonโt be true to yourself, the love wonโt last. The love could be between a person and a person, but it could also be between me and myself.โ
Over 3.3 million people watched the V Live broadcast.
BTSโs Love Yourself: Tear is out now.
