SF Marina Small Craft Harbor

SF Marina Harbor

Welcome to San Francisco Marina Small Craft Harbor website. San Francisco Marina, as it is also known, is a destination sought by thousands of boaters from all over the world. The oldest recreational marina operating in San Francisco, and perhaps the Greater Bay Area, the harbor has had vessels berthed in its original basin, now known as the West Harbor, since before the 1906 earthquake. The original marina was expanded in the mid-1960s and is now approximately 35 acres. The entire facility has 727 berths, including 15 end ties for guest berthing vessels up to 50 feet LOA, free pump out stations and a commercial fuel dock.San Francisco Marina also features a large and popular park, Marina Green, which is home to many events including Escape From Alcatraz and Fleet Week. Marina Green also has several “par course” workout stations along its perimeter.

SENIORITY LISTS FOR THE WEST HARBOR RE-ASSIGNMENT

In accordance with the newly adopted West Harbor Re-assignment Policy, Marina Management has posted an initial Seniority List for each berth size based on the records we have indicating seniority dates for a continuous Berthing License (Rental Agreement or Mooring License). This Seniority List will be updated if and when individuals can show written evidence to prove a more senior date. If you have not already participated in our vessel inspections, please check your actual vessel length with the length we have on file, as you will only be assigned a berth that correctly fits your vessel, as the Marina Rules specify. Please contact the Habormaster if your actual vessel length is greater than the berth length you are assigned on this Seniority list.

The Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP) is a program created to help boat owners surrender their unwanted recreational boats to a local participating VTIP agency, free of charge. This helpful and proactive program is administered by California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW), and grants are awarded annually to qualified local public agencies statewide. Commercial vessels are not covered under this program.
