Police operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) District Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (DAIDSOTG) under Police Chief Inspector Enrico Figueroa conducted a drug raid at a suspected drug den in Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City and arrested eighteen (18) suspects including six (6) women.

QCPD Director, PCSupt Edgardo Tinio, identified the suspects asJolito Eleccion, 33 y/o, Cario Escuerdo, 26 y/o, Joan Dionco, 35 y/o, Nino Marco, 32 y/o, Ivor Joshua Bocar, 31 y/o, Bien Michael Riva, 34 y/o, Kanong Hernandez, 32 y/o, John Paul Fowler, 22 y/o, Michael Orbeta, 36 y/o, Emannuel Soriano, 33 y/o, Ralph Ignacio, 21 y/o, George Montano, 27 y/o, Michelle Ignacio, 33 y/o, Vivian Garcia, 40 y/o, Araceli Canoy, 33 y/o, Jessa Garcia, 18 y/o, Mary Grace Artates, 18 y/o and Lina Ignacio, 54 y/o.

PCI Figueroa said that they received complaints from residents and information from Barangay Pasong Tamo officials about the illegal drugs activities at Sitio Bacood Compound, Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.

A buy-bust operation was set and at around 9:00 p.m., February 1, 2016, the operatives swooped down at the said compound which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

Police seized during the operation fifty nine (59) heat-sealed sachets of shabu, nine (9) pieces of unsealed plastic sachets of shabu, several illegal drugs paraphernalia and twenty nine (29) pieces of P500.00 buy-bust money and one (1) genuine Php500.00.

The suspects were brought to Camp Karingal and were charged of Violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCSupt Tinio commended the operatives for arresting the suspects in line with the implementation of the PNP Anti-criminalityOplan Lambat-Sibatas ordered by the SILG Mel Senen Sarmiento, implemented by PNP Chief PDG Ricardo Marquez and NCRPO chief, Police Director Joel Pagdilao.
