Looking back at
Canada’s 150th!

2017 was a memorable year for Canada and Canadians. We invited you to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial with us, and you responded with enthusiasm. Tens of thousands of Canadians came out for events, watched our special programming, and took part in activities held from coast to coast to coast. During this milestone year, you connected with us and shared your stories and perspectives.

2017: A milestone year for us all

Thank you for allowing us to be at the heart of Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations and to engage in important conversations about who we are now, and where we are headed together as a nation. We’d also like to thank all of our partners, without whose support this year of special events and programming would not have been possible.

As a souvenir, we’re delighted to offer you a free digital version of WHAT’S YOUR STORY? – A CANADA 2017 YEARBOOK. This bilingual collection will take you on a journey across every province and territory, through stories and photos submitted by a diverse range of Canadians.

The digital edition of the yearbook, as well as our 2017 portal, will remain online as a legacy of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. A hardcover version of the yearbook is also available through Indigo (!ndigo online), Chapters, Coles and selected independent bookstores for $29.99.

In the coming years, CBC/Radio-Canada will continue to be a public space where Canadians can share their ideas, tell their stories, and connect with each other.

Thank you again for being there with us in 2017!
