Description

Slow opening form with many components in IDE while LiveBinding packages activated (but LiveBinding not used).

Same problem in XE4

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open attached project, close Form4 and open Form4 again.

2. Delay 6 seconds on Core2Due 3.06 GHz, 4GB Ram, SSD

3. There many TClientDataSet with fields, no code.

The issue is reported. It is opened faster if you do: Component-> Install Packages... and disable:
- Embarcadero LiveBindings Components
- Embarcadero LiveBindings Components FireMonkey
- Embarcadero LiveBindings Components VCL

Hello,

Yes the problem is because of Livebinding.
But you can't disabled it like that now because third party like Steema/Teechart need livebinding !

Same problem on nearly every project we have migrated to XE5 from XE, it crawls along, and if you should click on the screen (while waiting by mistake) then the whole of Delphi turns white until its able to show the requested form in the IDE.

The compiling on our old project too 5 seconds to start from pressing the run button, but XE5 appears to take a factor longer on some runs we have waited about 20 seconds..

What the hell is going on. Its like all my components are being sent via the web for authentication by Embarcadereo.

we started using Delphi from Version 1.0 and have updated faithfully up to version XE5. I have just spent £4,500 on a super workstation thinking this would cure all my problem. Its faster but the delay is still the same. the system even has an SSD as its main drive and its slow.

Now Delphi XE6 is available.
And this major problem is not fixed yet since Delphi XE2 !?

Sadly, still an issue in XE6. I originally saw it in XE3. I use XE2 and it works fine. Removing the Livebindings packages didn't help. Wish Embarcadero would come up with a fix so I'm not wasting money on upgrades. I should have checked to see if it was fixed before buying XE6.
