Slater took the quick tap and Fitzgibbon stuck his arm out which saw the fullback hit the deck.

Fitzgibbon was immediately sent to the sin bin by referee Gerard Sutton.

“Lachlan is off-side there and makes a tackle, he interferes, he’s got to go,” Sutton told Knights skipper Mitchell Pearce.

“Lachlan’s going to bin for interfering on that tap.”

Fox League commentator Braith Anasta recalled Slater’s efforts a fortnight ago which got Cronulla forward Luke Lewis binned.

“He’s the best,” Anasta said.

“Billy had every right to take the quick tap because he was outside the 10-metre line.

“That’s the second time in two weeks Billy’s come up with that play.”
