Tiny critters just invaded your Nintendo DS and there's only one thing to do! Make beautiful music. What?!? Yep, the new Electroplankton video game is a weird one, you don't blast space aliens, pilot giant robots, duel Voldemort, or collect power-ups. Here's our review of this weird game and how cool it is.

What's up With Electroplankton for the Nintendo DS?

Electroplankton is a game about... just chillin' and making some weird tunes with the help of strange critters. There are a bunch of different digital creatures called Electroplankton and each one does different things that can all be used to make music. From recording noises you make and playing them back to a beat, to making noise when you tap 'em, the whole point of this game is to play with the Electroplankton and have fun. There aren't any levels, bosses or even save games.

Electroplankton's Awesome Tunes

For casual gamers and peeps who just want to make some funky music, this game is a great way to chill out and play without stressing about getting stomped on by Big-Bossicus the Nasty or his three bros. It's also perfect for showing off your cool tunes to all your friends on the bus, or at lunch!

Crash, Bang, Boom! With Electroplankton

Got save game? Electroplankton doesn't. No matter how cool your music is, there's no way to save it, which really sucks. Other than that, there aren't any levels to finish, bosses to battle or high-scores to beat. It's more like a toy than a game.

Electroplankton, Rock On or Lame-O?

It's a weird game, that's for sure. If you're a hardcore gamer who's all about getting the highest score and beating every boss, it might not work for you. Instead, this is a game for folks who just want to turn on their DS and make some funky tunes.
