We did learn season 2 is starting in the fall, though. ... Hey, what if by "season 2" they mean the rest of season 1?
Even if that were the case I still wouldn't trust them to go back on indefinite hiatus again shortly thereafter. Clearly they have more important shows to air instead.
Wait is this really good? Cause the original cartoon is an adventure classic. Am I missing out on something big like when I came to Steven Universe and Gravity Falls late?
Frank recently tweeted that the date given was in error, there's no official S2 premiere date as far as he's aware.
Yes, Ducktales has become a real stand out on how to do a reboot RIGHT. The only problem is Disney is going through a major restructuring after less than a dozen episodes, so the show's been on a very long hiatus. The showrunners have said the wait will be well worth it when it's done.
Yes, it's really good, despite the network messing with the show. Running episodes out of order, this hiatus. Things of that nature.
The hiatus with cartoons is ridiculous. I tried keeping up with Tangled and lost track since it would randomly show up with a different air time or go on hiatus for no reason. And yeah real frustrating seeing this show go on hiatus even though episodes have been ready to go.
You'll be happy to know that season 1 of Tangled ended, and it was pretty good. Made this thread about it.
There's still a while to go before it even comes remotely close to Gravity Falls when it comes to scheduling. That ran for four years and two seasons, the latter of which had to be rushed out of the door as an ending. The signs are not great so far, though. The weird thing is that the international Disney Channels seem to be burning through what few episodes there are, despite having started later. Oh, well, as long as it doesn't get Tron Uprising'd.
Yeah I have some on dvr. I’m on queen for a day special but haven’t watched it yet since I’m missing some episodes before the finale and have yet to find them available for streaming anywhere.
I grew up with the original and now my son loves the reboot...it’s pretty entertaining and a good take on the classic series
I enjoyed the premiere of the show and have been tempted to buy the season digitally to catch up with the rest, but not until they actually air the season.
he_can't_keep_getting_away_with_it.gif Meanwhile, two of the new episodes have already leaked online. Apparently aired in Scandinavia.
It's really good so far. But nothing huge has happened (yet). But they have been hinting at some big event happening soon.
Gotta ramp up for that big Duck Tales/Darkwing Duck/Talespin/maybe they're working to get Rescue Rangers too crossover episode
Apparently one of the "leaked" episodes has (reference to another show) Spoiler Ponies voiced by Tara Strong and Andrea Libman.
I do remember seeing one of those "Launch pad Moments" commercials where he asks little horses for comments while commentating on golf or something like that. That's real neat. Can't wait!
By the time this show comes back it'll have the nostalgia factor going for it again, though this time for itself.
I wonder if The Spear of Selene and Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System will air in Europe before they even have dates announced for their expected airing in North America. The other two episodes that aired overseas were just fine. Not great considering the wait... but good enough.
Watched the new episode. That was..... genuinely entertaining! The jokes were on top and I laughed sev'ral timez. The pony parody made it so much better though. Go watch!
(*slow blinking*) Well, a new episode. And it's not an April fool. Who would have thought? It was enjoyable, "adventure-of-the-day" episode. I prefer episodes that actually move on the plot, but it was fun nonetheless.
I really can't wait for this show to get back to some semblance of a regular episode airing schedule, because I quite love what they've done so far with this iteration of Ducktales.
so another month of steven? guess after may we will have to wait till 2020 for new episodes or something. this is exactly what people wanted i'm sure...
"McMystery at McDuck McManor!" is out there now, and makes mention of one of the long lost characters from the original show.
dunno... early Season 2 airings? I think it should be noted that EVERY DAY IN MAY doesn't necessarily mean a new episode every day. For instance, they could air a new episode Tuesday through Friday and relegate Saturday through Monday as rerun days for that week's episodes (May starts on a Tuesday). The fan blog merely assumed the former since the network(s) have been known to dabble in the so-called "bomb" format of scheduling. I figure there's gotta be a reason for them leaking episode titles for 4 episodes and only 4. Like that will be the first week's schedule and during scheduled reruns they can "leak" another 4 titles. I'm just speculating, though. Anyway, Frank was teasing something for... today as of this posting... on twitter that may be about this.
It sound be bored that this is Disney Channel. I imagine they're going to start at episode 1 and split up the two parters.
Fingers crossed it's real. I've been waiting for too long for new episodes. (but it's not like i'm not used to this with shows that startoff on Disney XD) There's already been one specifically that aired in another country recently from later in the season, so i'm just waiting on a date.
