The Toronto Islands Residential Community Trust Corp. (the Trust) announces that the purchasers' list is now closed for 2017. Those successful will be notified by December 22, 2017. Good luck to all those who applied.

Call for Expressions of Interest (August 24, 2017)

“THE RECTORY” – Restaurant and Special Events Venue

Ward’s Island, Toronto, Ontario

The Toronto Islands Residential Community Trust Corporation (the Trust) is requesting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from hospitality and food-service organizations with the interest and capability to successfully operate a restaurant and special events venue at The Rectory on Ward’s Island.

The Rectory is operated year-round as a restaurant, meeting and special events venue and gallery for local artists. There is a fully equipped kitchen, 63-seat dining room with bar and 156-seat outdoor patio. Additional capacity is available outdoors. The food-service facilities need some upgrading so capital investment will be required.

The Trust, which is the landlord for the building, proposes a new lease agreement to begin April 2018 until September 2023 or longer by mutual agreement.

An information session and site tour will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday September 12 at The Rectory.

Please send your confirmation of attendance at the information session to Amanda Street-Bishop, Administrator at [email protected] by September 6.

EOI submission requirements, proposed Terms of Reference for the lease and other details will be provided via email to confirmed attendees.

Submission of the EOI is due October 13, 2017.

Interviews with qualified responders will be held no later than November 15, 2017.

Short-listed responders will be asked to submit detailed business plans by December 15, 2017 with an offer to lease made no later than January 30, 2018.
