Yilan Office

宜蘭工作室成立於1995年，廿年來執行政府計畫，並深度參與地方事務，具體影響政府政策與地方發展，目前是宜蘭地方知識的中心，也是社區工作的平台。以宜蘭為重心的空間專業服務、參與式規劃設計及社區營造經驗與成果，已受到國內外的重視。

面對當今高速變動的社會與環境和更多元的服務需求，宜蘭工作室於2014年7月轉型為「宜蘭分會」，以更自主、靈活的經營，積極推展多面向的社會服務，包含政策與策略規劃、空間規劃設計與營建、研發出版與教育推廣、相關的經營管理與顧問諮詢等。

有鑑於民主化進程及衍生的公共議題，對民眾參與的需求更加迫切。宜蘭分會將以「參與式規劃設計」及相關的社區工作為核心，並結合實務與教學，進行技術開發與理論論述，建立相關知識體系。以改良傳統空間生產方式，促展尊重多元、對等對話、跨界合作的公共領域。

The Yilan Office was established in 1995 to conduct public planning projects and to serve local communities. As a resource center and a platform for community planning, it has played an influential role in governmental policies in local development. In recent years, this model of sustained local engagement in Yilan County, with a focused methodology of participatory community planning, has received national and international attention.

Facing rapid societal changes and multiple new dimensions of environmental problems, the Yilan Office has made a transformation in July 2014 to become a full-fledged branch office of the Foundation. It will have more initiative,
be more flexible, and be actively responsive to policy planning, spatial design, research and education, and related management and consulting needs.

In response to public issues of democratic planning, with an urgent demand for greater public participation, the Yilan Office intends to strengthen its commitment to participatory planning and design as a core value. Through more refined integration of practice and teaching, we intend to further improve our methods and theories regarding community development. Our goal is to improve traditional modes of spatial production and to realize a workable transdisciplinary forum in resolving local public issues.
