Russian Helicopters, part of state corporation Rostec, has delivered a batch of four repaired Mi-17 helicopters to the Lao People's Liberation Army Air Force (LPLAAF), the company announced in a 12 July statement.
The transfer of the platforms, which took place during a ceremony held at an air base in Vientiane, completed the first service contract between the Russian holding company and the Lao Ministry of Defence, said the statement, adding that the Mi-17s were repaired by a “mobile group of specialists of JSC 356 ARP”, which is part of the company.
Russian Helicopters also said that it has prepared a proposal for the repair of another batch of "Mi-17-type helicopters".
