SARATOGA, Aug. 13. -- The chief topic of conversation at the track to-day was the purchase of Henry of Navarre and Dorian by August Belmont, President of The Jockey Club. Both Mr. Belmont and Pierre Lorillard have been anxious to own Byron McClelland's crack racer, and as the flattering offers have been refused by McClelland time and time again, it was believed that he would not part with Navarre under any circumstances.View Full Article in Timesmachine »
