Celine Dion darts 2-1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated July 21) with "Ashes," her third career leader and first in a decade. The track, from the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, was remixed by Steve Aoki and Riddler, among others.

Dion's Dance Club Songs history spans over 25 years, since "Love Can Move Mountains" debuted in November 1992 and peaked at No. 5 in January 1993. Her other No. 1s, among six top 10s, are "Misled" (July 1994) and "Taking Chances" (February 2008).

Riddler -- whose real name is Rich Pangilinan -- is the resident DJ at Houston nightclubs Cle and Spire, as well as assistant program director/music director at Pop Songs reporter KROI in Houston. He explains to Billboard how his version of Dion's track came to be: "First off, I'm a Celine Dion fan. So when I was asked by Columbia Records to be one of two official remixers, I kinda fanboyed. I knew Steve Aoki was already doing a mix, so I decided to go in a different direction."

He continues, "I wanted to make this remix more about her vocals than about me. I decided to keep it close to the original but give it a more dance/house feel. I kept everything in the same key, similar chord progressions, but used my Julia Michaels 'Issues' remix as a source of inspiration. You can hear that with the bass line."

The timing of his remix was perfect, he suggests, as it was released as a lot of Gay Pride celebrations were happening worldwide. "Several of my DJ peers played my version during their Pride sets. Because of my radio background, I also made sure the remix was something that mix shows could work into other similar records. 'Ashes' has been doing very well in my sets and the social media support from Celine Dion's fans has been great!"
