Color March 2 in on your calendar, ARMY, because Hixtape is finally dropping.

Two years since the last BTS mixtape, the group’s third rapper and lead dancer J-Hope is confirmed to release his very own at the beginning of March 2. Dubbed the “Hixtape” by fans who have eagerly anticipated its release, it is J-Hope’s first solo album.

To commemorate the news, the Korean star shared a video of the mixtape being prepared. Within 16 hours of the clip being shared, it had been viewed over 2.6 million times.

The artist has co-written and produced several songs for BTS.

The band’s label Big Hit entertainment announced the March date on Feb. 22, just a day after Suga’s Agust D mixtape was added to American music sites and promptly entered the top 10 of the U.S. iTunes album chart.

J-Hope’s mixtape marks the first musical release by BTS in 2018. The official name of the mixtape has yet to be announced.

Following a breakout year stateside in 2017, BTS continues to be making a major impact in North America. The septet was recently featured as cover models of this magazine, and promptly sold out a special collector’s boxed edition. The K-pop act has attracted fans from around the world with their captivating performances and deep lyrical messaging.

The third member to release a mixtape, J-Hope’s comes after RM’s eponymous 2015 effort and Suga’s Agust D 2016 mixtape.
