Michelle Paradise is the executive producer, writer, and one of the stars of the hit television series, Exes & Ohs. Its second season will premiere on channels in both the U.S. and Canada in early 2010.

Michelle wrote and starred in the award-winning short film, The Ten Rules, upon which Exes & Ohs is based. The short played in over 60 festivals worldwide, won nearly a dozen awards, and was distributed on two different short film compilations before being picked up by MTV’s Logo network for development into a television series.

When the first season of Exes & Ohs premiered on Logo (U.S.) and Showcase (Canada), it was an instant success. Entertainment Weekly selected it as “Tonight’s Best TV,” while the Hollywood Reporter praised it as “a sprightly and surprisingly mainstream-feeling dramedy.” It was nominated for a GLAAD media award for “Best Comedy Series” alongside network smash hits Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, and was also the #1 iTunes download for all MTV television shows.

Michelle partnered with Bill Grundfest (writer/producer, Mad About You) to develop her short film into a series, and she wrote the scripts for both seasons of Exes & Ohs.

In addition to her work on Exes & Ohs, Michelle has written a number of television pilots and feature scripts. Several of her plays have also been produced in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Bologna (Italy). As an actress, Michelle has worked in film, on television, and on stage, and has appeared in over two dozen commercials.

Michelle earned B.A. degrees in English and in French, holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature, and has studied at such well-respected schools as The Groundlings and the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

A slightly different version...
