M. P. Jones IV: Editor-in-Chief
Madison is a Graduate Research Fellow in the doctoral program at the University of Florida—studying ecocomposition, rhetoric, and new media—where he works with the journal Trace. Founder and editor-in-chief of Kudzu House Quarterly, he is a fifth-generation Alabamian and recently received a master’s in literature from Auburn University. He has published an article in Merwin Studies and one forthcoming in ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and the Environment. His reviews of ecocriticism and creative writing have appeared in ISLE, Southern Humanities Review, The Journal, storySouth, and elsewhere. His creative writing, likewise focused on ecology, is forthcoming in Southern Humanities Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, ISLE, and The Fourth River; and recent poems have appeared in Tampa Review, The Painted Bride Quarterly, Portland Review, Canary Magazine, The Greensboro Review, and elsewhere. He has published a collection of poetry, Live at Lethe (Sweatshoppe 2013), and his second book, Reflections on the Dark Water (Solomon & George), is forthcoming spring 2016. Robin Conn Ward: Executive Design Editor
Robin is the mastermadmind of our website design, having achieved a degree in computer networking from Cochise College and Web Development from ASU. Robin’s interests lie in the hyper-real, the increasing development of an artificial world in the face of an eroding biosphere.

Jane Alford: Nonfiction, Assistant Editor
Jane is our resident ecofeminist and strict grammatician (someone around here has to be). She’s always on call, reminding us of the right place for a direct object and when we’re describing women as such. She received her M.Ed. in English Language Arts from Auburn University and her BA in English and history from the University of Montevallo. She enjoys adventures of the outdoor variety, growing food and cooking it, and playing with her loyal feline, Romeo. She teaches in Gainesville, Florida.
Sean Abrahams: Cover Artist
Sean Abrahams is an Atlanta based doodler, craftsman and painter. He received his BFA in Painting in 2009 from the Savannah College of Art and Design and currently exhibits work throughout the city of Atlanta. His work is in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Art and featured at the Poem 88 gallery and bookshop. Sean was also picked by ArtsATL.com in 2013 as one of the 30 under 30 of Atlanta’s Creatives.
Charlie Sterchi: Fiction Editor
Charlie Sterchi is a student in the MFA program at the University of Florida, where he studies fiction. His surname is Romanche for “one who dreams of Jeannie” and may possibly be the inspiration for the American sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, created by Sidney Sheldon and starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman, that ran from September 1965 to May 1970. To this very day, dreaming of Barbara Eden and other genies – but mainly Barbara Eden as she appeared in her famous, shall we say celestial, television role – remains an involuntary patrilineal preoccupation among Charlie and his kin. Noel C. Hoffman is a Canadian raised in Alabama. He holds a B.A. in International Trade and Spanish from Auburn University and an M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans. Beth McDermott: Poetry Editor
Beth McDermott’s poetry has appeared in journals such as DIAGRAM, Harpur Palate, The Literary Bohemian, Red Earth Review, Terrain.org, Camas, Storm Cellar and Jet Fuel Review. Her reviews have appeared in American Book Review, the William Carlos Williams Review, and at poecology.org. She received her MFA from Purdue University and her PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently teaches in Joliet, IL.
Aaron Beveridge: Technical Editor
Aaron is a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of FLorida, where his research intersects writing studies and data science paradigms. With a focus on programming, natural language processing, and data visualization, he contributes to the ongoing expansion of digital research methods in rhetoric and writing studies. Grounded primarily in the study of networked writing and trend circulation, his research and teaching interests also include technical communication, the rhetoric of science, media ecology, and maker culture.
Kate Leboff: Book Reviews Editor
Katelyn works in marketing out of Knoxville, TN while also pursuing her Masters in Publishing at The George Washington University. Her creative work has appeared in Aubade, Silver Birch Press, and Spurt Literary Journal as well as many other online and print publications. Katelyn holds an English (Creative Writing) degree from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. She spends her free time snuggling with her dog, Luna, and volunteering with Friends of Literacy. When Katelyn needs to relax, you can find her shooting pool, watching football, playing video games, or reading and writing in a local café (but only drinking tea, of course, as coffee is repulsive.).
Nathan Frank: Scholarly Editor
Nathan Frank is a PhD student in the English Department at the University of Virginia. His work has appeared in Kudzu Quarterly, Biblical Interpretation, Reconstruction, and The Rocky Mountain Review. He has a chapter forthcoming in an edited volume on consciousness in contemporary metafiction that focuses on the narratological invention of Then We Came To The End by Joshua Ferris.

Laura M Gibson hails from Idaho, where she tends a tiny urban farm, lives in a log cabin, and helps families navigate the college admissions journey. Her fiction and essays have appeared in a number of journals, among them Flyway, Carve, and The Sun. She has an M.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Arcadia University, and a B.A. in English Literature with an emphasis in Secondary Education from Humboldt State University. Sarah Lonelodge is a part-time English professor and a full-time wife, mother, and writer. She received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Humanities and a Master of Arts with honors in English Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Central Oklahoma. Recently, she has segued into creative writing and poetry. Originally from the small town of Bristow, Oklahoma, she currently resides in Shawnee, Oklahoma with her husband, son, and nephews. She enjoys reading, watching football, cooking, and (usually) beating her husband at Scrabble.
Janna Moretti writes fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and academic essays. She is motivated by protest literature. An MFA Fiction candidate at the University of Florida, Janna splits her time writing and reading with teaching undergraduate English, tutoring, and momming her newborn babe. She has her MA in English from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Political Science-International Relations with minors in History, Philosophy, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Her work has been published in Mobius: The Journal of Social Change, Daedalus, and The Blue Collar Review.
