Blizzard today unveiled a Collector's Edition and an Origins Edition of Overwatch, featuring skins and extras while also putting an end to speculation that the game might be free-to-play.
Overwatch Origins Edition comes with all 21 heroes from the game as well as five skins that "harken to the backstories" of the characters portrayed, which will include Overgrown Bastion, Blackwatch Reyes and Splitstream Tracer. It will also come with "goodies" from other Blizzard games including a World of Warcraft pet. Origins Edition will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
The Collector's Edition includes all of the above as well as a bronze statue of Soldier: 76, soundtrack and source book. The base game will cost $40 on PC, with the Origins Edition costing $60 on all platforms. The $40 version will not be available for consoles.
For the Collector's Edition, retailers Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop are both listing it at $129.99. Blizzard also announced a pre-order website.
