Announcing the 2018-2019 Season!

Our 20th season was such a blast for all of us, and we are so excited to share and grow with you as we enter our 21st! Beginning and ending with Beethoven, this is a season for lovers of great masterworks, that will also feature star performers.

With Stefan Jackiw in the fall playing for us the timeless Beethoven Violin Concerto followed by Dvorak’s lush Symphony No. 7 and complemented along with a piece by one of France’s foremost living composers Regis Campo, who will come especially to present his masterwork!

In November we will play Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with the best duo one
can dream of Kurt Nikkanen, Concertmaster of New York City Ballet on violin and Jonathan Carney, Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony on viola! The concert will also feature one of Haydn’s London Symphonies, an absolute symphonic masterpiece, his Symphony No. 102!

For our Holiday concert, the very special Karpov sisters will join us, one sings Opera and the other Jazz and Pop. Both are highly talented and should give us a memorable performance like no other!

New Year’s Eve in Easton will be so inspiring with Mezzo-Soprano Jessica Renfro and a few other vocalists, for an energetic ring into the new year!
In March we will welcome guest conductor Andrews Sill, in Schubert’s moving
Symphony No. 4, and the first performance by our brand new Young Artist
Competition winner.

Finally, in April, the rising star Irish pianist Michael McHale will join us in Ravel’s most jazzy and fun Piano Concerto in G Major, followed by the most epic of
all, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, with one of the best lineups of vocalists ever, including the captivating Kevin Short singing the baritone part, joined by the wonderful Southern Delaware Chorale Society and the amazing Carter Legacy Singers.

We can’t wait for you to join us as we transcend into musical bliss with these masterworks!

Julien Benichou, Music Director

Bravo Maestro

Dear Fellow Music Lover,

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra is launching our 2018 “BRAVO, Maestro!” Campaign celebrating 21 years of presenting exceptional classical music concerts to audiences across Delmarva.  We truly have a reason to say:  “BRAVO, Maestro!”  Please join us in supporting Maestro Benichou and the orchestra in their ongoing efforts.

This year we are again offering an all-cash campaign to give our contributors an opportunity to win substantial cash gifts.  This years’ time frame for the Campaign is April through June, and we will be drawing the winners at our annual meeting on June 18, 2018.

If you have participated in our “BRAVO, Maestro!” Campaigns in the past, you already know the importance of the Campaign and how its success enables us to continue to bring dynamic programming, outstanding symphonic music, and world renowned soloists to our communities.  Once again, we encourage you to join in the campaign excitement and support the MSO.  If you have not participated previously, we hope that you will join us in supporting the “BRAVO, Maestro!” Campaign this year!

To enter our drawing, complete the enclosed form and send it with $100.00 for each ticket requested to the address below.  You may be a winner of one of our cash gifts…but most importantly, all participants are winners because your “BRAVO, Maestro!” support helps us to “Keep the Music Playing!”

Thank you, and BRAVO!
